My thoughts exactly.

I love the idea of having a poster of how to say something in 100 languages, but I wouldn't want "fuck you" and I wouldn't want that hideous looking poster, haha.

useful knowledge:rolleyes:
no wonder that one of the best known by foreigners Polish words are 'pierdol się', 'chuj', 'pojebany' or 'kurwa':p

Zkurvysyn is not Fuck you in Czech. It means Son of a bitch. Fuck you would be Pojeb se, almost the same as in Slovak.

Also, why the fuck did you censor the thread title?

Bualadh craicinn.... I don't really get it.

bualadh means "beat", "beating", "rattling"
and craic means "fun"

I guess you could say "rattling fun" means "fuck you"....somehow...

EDIT:

No...actually "Bualadh craiceann" (it's spelt wrong up there) means to 'have sex with someone'.

I was wondering about that. "Fuck you", in english, is of course meant as an insult. But when trying to translate it I figured you could easily end up with something that means "I want to fuck you" or something similar. Which could be rather awkward (or awesome) if you tried using it.

Wow, that's not even close. Poor suckers who actually may have paid money for this thing. :)

The Swedish translation is a litteral translation of the meaning "Fuck you", and not the idiomatic meaning.

"Jebem ti boga" means "fuck you" in Slovenian language? Damn, and i was sure that "jebi se" was the correct phrase. I should know my own language better...

Jebem ti boga would mean (literally) "i fuck your god".

And "jšvla" in Swedish means "fuck" or "damn" or "fucking" (like 'fucking bastard').

They got the Finnish one right 100%.

I am somewhat certain they messed up the Hindi one.

Is that possible.... I never knew that we can translate ''fuck you'' as ''pojeb sa''
I've still translated it other way ...

yeah Konj indeed means Horse, but also on Croatian "Jebi ga" means - Fuck it, not Fuck you.

And they should put it
Serbo/Croatian, and it goes: Jebi se! :)

That's right, because we Slovenians "borrowed" that phrase from the Serbo/Croatian language :D

Actually Slovenian language doesn't even have many of its own swear words, or they are just plain weird ones, like "tristo kosmatih medvedov" (300 hairy bears. I mean what. The. Fuck?!) :p

edit: still waiting for somebody to remember something about horses... Come on, it's not like horses weren't notorious on this forum. Or at lease one horse...

They translated the intent in the French (and I believe Italian) ones. The actual words are assfucking though.

Yes, they just forgot the "r"... it's "Va te faire enculer".

"Va te faire foutre" is more used though...

The austrian version is wrong too. It means something like piss off, but not that harsh. If you want to swear to someone try the german version of the poster, it means the same in Austria.
