DEP's ramping up for the release of their next record, Option Paralysis, and they've released a song on their myspace page, called Farewell, Mona Lisa.

I think the track is great. It feels like a mix between Ire Works, Miss Machine, and something completely different. Check it out, if you're so inclined.

Oh yes. It's been there for a while, though, also they've been using a cut of 'Mona Lisa' as an opening for live shows. It does sound like an Ire Works song to me, but with Dillinger it is impossible to know what will be the final product like. Which is like the awesomest thing about the band.

Some links for the lazy.

Since it's quite an accomplished taste, I wouldn't be counting on much feedback from others, Free?

I hadn't noticed they put up Farewell, Mona Lisa, it's been awhile since I checked last. There's something about the production that I really like, can't pinpoint it exactly. I always thought miss Machine had better production than Ire Works, although Ire Works has the better songs.

I liked Calculating Infinity, but found the handful of songs I heard off their later stuff sounded way too Pattony for my liking, even after he was no longer in the band.

How did I miss THAT?! Funny fact is lately I've been on a Mastodon kick and the thought of how the new DEP album will sound crossed my mind quite a few times.
