believe it or not, in 2010 the colonial attitudes exist! The fucking imperialism continue breaking the peace of a lot peoples around the world! "u.s.a." killing Middle East, and now england trying to take decisions on Argentina's territorie.
i don't know why they try to do it! Obviously the end is the "black golden! who stop this?
Last month, England sent an oil exploration platform in south of the Argentine territory "Islas Malvinas" guarded by ships and submarines without the consent of Argentina. This is a provocation to the entire American continent, hey isabel queen, you must take it easy! you are a old woman! I love my "Islas Malvinas". Here a little gift to Islas malvinas and for the ireland people (our far far brothers)

You see that rift between the islands?
That was a falcon punch.

Only Brits and Argentinians care about the Falklands/Islas Malvinas. No one else can really figure out who the good guys are or what should be done as the situation is very complicated.

To be honest I don't think many Brits care either. Most people I've talked to seem to want to let Argentina have their hissy fit, it's unlikely there'll be any major conflict (let's face it 1982 was like a playground fight). And yeah the rest of the world doesn't care so the UN isn't going to make any suggestions. At the end of the day it's a small island group that was previously uninhabited (many years ago) and is now self-governed by a group of people that class themselves as British (obvisouly ignoring vast swaves of history there).

It is funny how it took the exploration of oil to be a catalyst for a more outspoken Argentina about the issue.

Edit: And maybe this should be moved to politics...?

I didn't think Brits cared, but I figured Argentina must be having an argument with someone...

I don't think anyone cared, before the Argentine government started using the Falklands to distract the people from the real problems in Argentina.

The islanders want to stay British. Self-determination and all that...

And Britain won't give them up, otherwise the 255 British servicemen who died there in 1982 would have died in vain.

28 years from the start of war... this summer lula da silva (brazil's president), and more than 30 presidents from continent america, supported the sovereignty of Argentina over the Malvinas, and repudiated the actions of England.

what about the people that live on the Falklands who are very happy to remain in their self-governing British overseas territory?
