The main riff is almost exactly the same in 4 songs that I know of, there will be more I'm sure
The Offspring - Dammit I Changed Again, Sum 41 - Still Waiting, 1208 - Time To Remember and that Scotty Doesnt Know song off EuroTrip
I dunno the law with copywrite on this type of stuff, but being a musician myself, I hope a riff cant be copywrited, because most things on a guitar has been done at one stage or another

Oh, and Miley Cyrus - Rockstar is the same as well :P

Its not a riff , it's a chord progression, and yes, it is the same in quite a few more songs, from the Off and from other bands... I don't know why but I thought it was kinda funny, not the fact that its the same, but the fact that i've been listening to The Off for like 10 years an I just realized it... lets make a poll!! How many songs do you know with the same chord progression??

There's like literally billions of them. Let me start by just the Offspring ones, they use that chord progression in parts of these songs:
Kick Him When He's Down, Gotta Get Away, Self Esteem, What Happened To You, All I Want, The Kids Aren't Alright, Have You Ever, Dammit I Changed Again, Race Against Myself, Half-Truism, Trust In You, You're Gonna Go Far Kid, Hammerhead.
EDIT: Hopefully there will be some on the next album too! :p

as long as the songs are good it shouldnt matter, its hardly a blatant rip off and i cant say id ever noticed until people started mentioning it here!
