I don't know if this is true or just a rumor, but apparently somebody made an edit on the KROQ Weenie Roast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KROQ_Weenie_Roast) Wikipedia article today, saying that The Offspring will play this year's KROQ Weenie Roast sometime in May, along with Cypress Hill and Travis Barker + A-Trak.

I was thinking the same thing. Well, the Weenie Roast takes place in May, only two months before The Offspring tours with 311. So, who knows if this is true or not.

It looks like The Offspring won't be playing at this year's Weenie Roast. According to the Wikipedia article I mentioned in this thread, the lineup for this year has not yet been confirmed and it's a fake.

Again, if it's only on Wikipedia, it's almost certainly fake. :)

haha gotta love wikipedia but in all honesty, if they do get an album out this year it is much more likely they play Weenie Roast next year.

I wouldn't rule it out as a total possibility yet though no bands at the beginning of this year seem like a sure thing for Weenie Roast compared to the last few years. (cept maybe Cypress Hill now?)

Yes, I'm sure it definitely is fake. Whoever posted those rumors on Wikipedia is just an idiot.

What about Muse? Kroq seems to be overplaying Muse and Rise Against at the moment...

Offspring played WR 2008 when KROQ was just playing offspring as it is normal. They started to play them heavily (in 2008) after YGGFK. The Offspring is a regular name on KROQ so even their "normal airplay" is the same as at least two or three different songs everyday, at least.

well muse just headlined acoustic xmas so i think it would be bad booking to have them headline weenie roast as far as rise against i think they might play afi and bad religion are also possible

also i predict the new sublime will play as far as the headliner i have no idea

It's most unlikely that Bad Religion will play at the Weenie Roast this year. Bassist Jay Bentley (who goes by jabberwock) said in this thread (http://www.thebrpage.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5267&PID=97941&title=ask-jay-part-3) at The Bad Religion Page that the band will "probably not" play there.
