Hahahahahahahaha.

As far as terribly awful lists about music go, that one is genuinely the worst attempt I have ever seen. Jesus fuck that is terrible.

This list is based on sales and radio plays.

So, on the 2000s, The Offspring were not as well as the 1990s. At least, The Offspring is in front of big bands, like U2, Metallica, Weezer and White Stripes, for example.

* Billboard Charts are calculated using custom formulas collecting sales, streaming and radio play. The complete Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts are available each week, as well as the top half of our current chart catalog and top 10 of historical charts. A subscription to Billboard.biz is required for full chart data.

HAHAHAHAHA!

And that was an honest-to-goodness, sincere laugh. I literally lol'd and I didn't expect to. I thought I was desensitized to terrible lists, but I was wrong. I think only two of the top ten bands belong on the list at all, and RHCP is the only one that should be in the top ten. And the second page is just as horrid.

EDIT: Okay, Leandro. That makes more sense. But if I were in charge of making this list, I'd refuse if those were the results.
EDIT: Wow, is Chevelle that big? Maybe I should have said yes to my band opening for them last month. :/

Wow, was Seether THAT much more popular in the USA than they were in Germany? 'cause I sure as hell haven't heard ANYTHING from them during the last 10 years...

these type of lists always cause controversy, the offspring did well around 2001 when conspiracy of one was released but albums were a bit few and far between after that compared to the nineties which really explains their position! i noticed they dont have a picture for them as well!

Why is Blink anywhere near this list?
Because they were insanely popular. We've established that the list is based on radio play.

Heh. I first heard of them in 2002 from a video game, and then nothing until maybe 2007. They had a huge hit that year with "Fake It" and a smaller one in "Rise Above This" (love that one). I think the singer also had a monster hit with the singer from Evanescence that year.

Blitz!

It was actually Seether featuring Amy Lee and the song was called Broken

Ha, only because it was only a few days' notice and I thought we still sucked too bad to do it.

It sucks and it's awesome at the same time. You like a wiiiide variety of stuff. I was mostly reacting to you having 38 whole discographies at all, much less from that list alone. Cool beans.

Ok well how on earth did Staind get no.2??? I hadn't heard of them til last year...

perhaps because they were unbelieveably huge for the first half of the decade. about half of the songs on the radio from 2000 to 2003 were by staind.

Whoa! I thought you just had songs from 666 artists, not whole discographies. Haha, that's amazing.

Some people have all the luck...

Yep, and not only that. Of their last four albums, three peaked at number 1 in the US and their latest number 3. For a band that records the same song over and over with different lyrics, they've done well.
