Friend turned me onto them. They sound kinda like A Wilhelm Scream.

They're one of those bands that i've heard nothing but good things about, but haven't checked out myself.

I think one of the reasons that i haven't yet, is that i'm usually not really a fan of hardcore: but i've heard the Wilhelm Scream (who I love) comparison before.

Well, so I liked the songs you've posted: so i suppose i'll have to check out an album.

Yeah, Chasing Hamburg is a good album. A friend of mine said if I loved AWS, i'll love PBC. He was right. They rock.

I've never thought about the comparison to A Wilhelm Scream before, but it does make sesne. The difference is that AWS is more punk, and Polar Bear Club is more post-hardcore. But yeah they're really good. I've been listening to Chasing Hamburg a lot lately.

Update. They announced the title of their next studio album, Clash Battle Guilt Pride

I loved their last album. Chasing Hamburg is such a good album, but Sometimes Things Just Disappear was still really good as well. Definitely looking forward to this one.

I have the first one, I like it, but I didn't think it was anything that special, still haven't heard chasing hamburg, granted I have heard its better than the first. I don't really hear any post-hardcore in their music at all.

In an update to my earlier posts in the thread, i ended up listening to and really enjoying Chasing Hamburg. Interested in hearing what they come up with next.

It is a good album. I recommend "See the Wind", "Living Saints", "Light of Local Eyes", and "Old Fisher Burial Ground" to give you a good idea.
