Well, we've listened The Offspring playing some covers, bands such like A.F.I., Ramones, Nirvana, Agent Orange, AC/DC, and more..

but have you listened to another band that plays Offspring's songs??

I'd really apreciate if you could post some links or just say the band's name..
thank you..:)

Yeah I remember that one...
Isn't it odd how metal band covered punk band? :)
What cover of ac/dc did offspring? I wanna hear that..
But as for more famous new bands (like evanessence), there are not too many covers :( Almost nobody covers offspring :(

AGREED. The vocals are not my favourite, but the entire song kicks ass.

Sorry, but the best Offspring cover is Smash, done by Mike Radack. https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/14%20Smash%20(Offspring%20Cover).mp3?w=f56345c6

Some of those bluegrass covers are okay. Gotta Get Away sounds nothing like the song though, like I couldn't actually tell it was the same song. The chorus was closer, but the rest of the song just sounded completely wrong.

Yessy-yes!

Since the posted link doesn't allow you to get that cover without registering I thought I'd do some justice to that piece of art. Here's the first (http://www.zshare.net/download/803052790d31dc07/) and the second (http://www.zshare.net/download/80305306fbb35995/) versions of the best offspring cover ever. Go nuts.

Oh, whoops. I put it in the wrong folder. If you want to download the song, click on Free?'s links. If you'd just like to hear it streamed, click here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8328506/14%20Smash%20(Offspring%20Cover).mp3 :)

I kind of wish Johnny Cash had done an Offspring cover in his American Recordings series. His version of Soundgarden's Rusty Cage was mindblowing. I'm not a Cash fan by any means, but I really dig his spin on rock covers.

I wish someone would record a cover of L.A.P.D, too. I've always thought that song could sound way better than the Ignition cut.

Whoa, - that would be awsome! Johnny cash also covered NIN, and now most of people doesn't even know that hurt is NIN's song!:p
But that's kinda my point - almost nobody who's famous covers offspring:(
I mean - metallica had an MTV privilege, to see a lot of famous bands covering their songs, but except Evanessence - Who did a Offspring cover?

Search youtube/spotify or whatever you're using and search star n stripes. There's a few different versions of Self Esteem, but they're all quite similar.
