Seriously, y'all don't think this is fun?

Dexter says about the album, "You can't work all the time, so you have things like taco contests. I have the taco contest, Noodles you have beer..." and Noodles says about the album, "It's not a Chinese Democracy situation, we're getting close to the end, we see the light at the end of the tunnel..." They talk about the album for a few minutes, plus the process of recording Ignition...

Record will most likely be out in 2012. What a surprise. Delayed again. Noodles even thinks it'll be out in 2012. Whatever.

Dexter said he likes this new album even more than he likes RFRG, so that's good =]

Well, every artist says that about every release. "Best thing we've ever done." "I'm really feeling this new material." "We're in such a good place as a band," etc and so forth.

I will say that I think Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace was in the top three of anything they've done, as one fan's opinion. If the new album is even better, well that's just fan-fuckin'-tastic.

Best part of the entire podcast

"Well fuck I don't want someone sueing me if they eat to many tacos and die..."

Listening now, this is one looooong podcast, and I'm all the way at the beginning still. Can't wait the rest of all the nonsense.

I love this podcast, especially how Noodles was making fun of himself - guitar monkey.
So funny! :D

Loving the on spot translation-pauses, and then a simple answer from Kobayashi. So that contest thing will be in a few hours I guess, or has already started even?

Oh actually, now that I'm watching the GB website, seems like it's already started!

The new podcast was a lot of fun: very cool that they still hang out with blackball.

Thought the part about saying how Ignition was sort of a rushed recording process was pretty interesting: and very telling about their current attitudes towards recording: they want to get things perfect, and that's just fine with me.

But he said "prove me wrong, dude" and said the band was getting close to getting it done, meaning it could still be released this year. I really wouldn't be surprised if it didn't come out until next year.

Yeah Ignition is a great album. I think it's taking too long now...
And the podcast.... I don't give a f*ck about Kobayashi, I'd like to hear more about the band and the record

But, Ignition is still great and consistent album. Hopefully, they won't make it too perfect, then it might be predictable and artificial. A bit of chaos can be great.

Ignition is my favorite too: but that's due to the song writing on it, not necessarily the production value of the songs.

They did discuss the record and why it's taking so long. I'm sorry you weren't listening.

Funny cause the first three tracks on Ignition (plus Dirty Magic) are my favorite off that album, and those are the ones Dex said were the best
