They released a record in 2007 and then split-up.

Because he wanted to write drums, but Dexter didn't allow him. :D So yeah, basically Ron was a socialist and Dexter a capitalist. :D Didn't work. Such a shame. Noodles doesn't win battles in studio either. :D Dexter is the boss, the norm, the best. But, I remember that Greg came up with a great bass on Hit That and Dexter loved it. Greg passed the norm there. :D

It might not be the only reason, 15 years is a lot.

I have their songs saved somewhere. Tijs should have them too. I remember some cool drum piece of music on their website.

As far as I know he helps newbie bands...

Greg K. wrote Trust In You.... so Dexter's dictatorship in the studio is not fully understood.

Greg K is the shit, he passes the norm. :D

Well, if I can dig into that, Greg is the founding member. Ron and Noodles came a bit later. Greg is well educated and might have a similar taste like Dex. God knows.

RFRG is not far away, but I barely remember something about Trust In You. Did he even do lyrics?

We need a Noodles studio win.

Why would Greg K have written trust in you?

Why would Greg K have written trust in you?

Because Noodles said so during a show. Might have been the first show they played the song live, if i'm not mistaken.

They were joking right?

Dexter got kissed by a guy there. :D

The breakdown part reminded me of Cranberries' Zombie.

That show at Le Trabendo in '08 is amazing, trust in you, beheaded, session, viva la club shows. It just came to me now how great 'trust in you' solo is.

Greg K. wrote Trust In You.... so Dexter's dictatorship in the studio is not fully understood.I've never understood how people still take that seriously. Or even did to begin with. According to that show Oxy, as said before, wrote Beheaded. And I think Pete wrote TKAA and the only song Dexter ever really did write is Self Esteem.

I have their songs saved somewhere. Tijs should have them too. I remember some cool drum piece of music on their website.Yeah I got a whole bunch of stuff from the website. It's saved on my HDD somewhere but my computer is broken. Not sure if they ever really did release the album (Jettison), but there were some photos of copies with artwork.

And I don't understand why that would be a joke. Never heard them say 'our band member wrote this song' during a show ever before. Don't know what you're talking about with 'Pete wrote TKAA' or whatever.

You can download the whole Trabendo set from here: http://theoffspring.eu/audio.html

Noodles said that Pete wrote the Come Out And Play......... of course that was a joke like Oxy wrote Beheaded and the other stuff too

You're a bloody idiot Dan M. Have you ever heard of a "joke". What he is talking about with "Pete wrote TKAA" is they said that in a show which is obviously another joke. Jesus tits.

Yeah well I never saw that show, and obviously saying pete wrote TKAA would be a joke, but saying Greg wrote Trust In You isn't obvious. So I don't give a fuck what you think, you dumbshit.

No, he's completely serious. You see, Oxygene is actually James Lilja.

I have to agree with this, because Noodles said something like "Thank you Greg K.", "he wrote this one" and "not bad for 1st time".. I thought that Greg wrote that song. Why the hell not? Dexter does write almost all music as I know, but why the hell wouldn't some other member wrote something too? COAP and TKAA and Beheaded sounds like a joke. And Dexter_H, why are you attacking and trashing Dan M. for no reason? Can't you tell your arguments without those hard words? I really hate that kind of behavior on this forum.. Somebody should do something about that

This is a joke, anyway, Noodles lost all his credibility long time ago.But serious people tend to be ridiculous, while funny people tend to be serious.
Some insane gynaecologist helped to write Beheaded. But writing an Offspring song, without writing it, without thinking about words and all, is kinda cool.

How common is it for a longtime member to leave a band and then the remaining members never even say something as simple as "it was personal/creative differences". I mean, you don't always get all the details, but it seems like you usually at least get the gist of it in the vaguest terms.

Oh yeah, and has anyone ever wondered if some of the lyrics to "Takes Me Nowhere" are written at least partly with Ron in mind???
