Well, anyone else heard of this yet?

I think it's just a rumor, even though more sources are reporting this.

We find out in 5 hours or so. It would make sense. The album would just about be out. They wanted to tour until we got sick of them.

The Offspring is not mentioned in the ad below, but it says "with more to be announced", meaning they may or may not be there.

The tour promoter tweeted this: “hoping to have [Offspring] on the 1st announcement, but they now have to mix album in Jan/Feb so hopefully SW13”.

So he spoke to them which is good. The album is coming along nicely also good. There is a second announcement in early December. A bit of luck the mixing will be done and they agree to play

Ah, what a moment we've been waiting for: the album to be finished mixed and ready to be released.

So they plan to start mixing in january eh? Nice to get a better idea of the timeline of the recording progress.

It makes sense too: based on the last couple twitter pics, it seems like they've finished the main parts of the recording (guitars, drums, ect) if they've moved on to "extras" like the mariachi dudes.

does mixing an album usually take 2 months?

does mixing an album usually take 2 months?

It can, especially if it's complicated.

While dissappointed they probably won't be here (The Promoter said he would never get Limp Bizkit yet he has. So does put people off the scent). I want the new album out so atleast that's in the closing stages.

That's why I wouldn't rule them out. The 1st announcement acceptance cutoff was Oct 1. Far too soon to predict, However the 2nd announcement cutoff is Dec 1. By that stage the album could be further then they predicted and will come.

They did Soundwave in 2008 to promote Rise and fall. Played to a national Sold out tour back then. By all reports loved it and the promoter said they were the easiest, nicest band to work with. Given they need a punk headliner and 15 punk bands on this next announcement. They will be given as late as possible to be added
