I wonder if this is possible to incorporate this into an idea for transportation. Sounds like it would be expensive.

Yo, if you dropped like a hundred feet from one of these platforms to another on that hoverboard, would it hit the ground or stop at the fixed distance?

When I see videos like this, I think I obviously chose the wrong career... :(

Edit : Bighead, I can't answer your question but they say something interesting in the article. The rail is 5 meters long but they explain that the hoverboard could actually continue levitating for a while after the end of the rail.

I've heard about maglev trains in Japan, nice to see how does it work in such a pure form.

It'd be expensive at the beginning but then, it's like, almost free.
