Don't know if this has already been discussed, but this interview (http://gaffa.dk/artikel/61221) (don't bother, it's in danish), from Skive Festival states that The Offspring themselves wanted Days Go By to be the lead single, while the record company pushed for Cruising California.

They also talk a bit about the Ignition shows, and about when Smash went platinum, you know, the usual stuff.

It is a lot easier to read Danish, than to listen to it.

.

I have to say that this is the most accurate decision when it comes to the first single. Had they done CC, the cd promotion wouldn't have come out right due to the superficial music industry of today. Kids would never take CC as a joke, they would definitely think it is a hit for the Summer like California Girls.

Indeed. When I read Danish, I understand 99%. When I hear it, I understand 20%.

Unless you are drunk! Then you understand about 80%, and just fill out the other 20% with something that makes no sense, whatsoever.

Hi guys

I was one of the two journalists who met with the band before their show in Denmark. Check out this thread: http://www.offspring.com/community/showthread.php?p=1465731#post1465731
