View Full Version : Days Go By Artwork (Official)

So I pre-ordered the album on iTunes, and I just recieved the album. A couple hours early, which is awesome. So I guess we can officially talk about the artwork and such, since it's been officially released digitally.

In case you don't want the suprise ruined, don't read what's below.

I can't scan the artwork, and won't because everyone can just buy the cd :D

But the artwork is interesting, mixes photography with americana style art with some different photography work.

On the OC Guns and Dirty Magic there seems to be a little Ignition tribute, old photo with fire burning buildings.

Slim Pickens has the Americana style art, a girl riding a missile (didn't like that one very much.)

What did you guys think?

Love the /0 and SP artworks. Surprised at TFIN/SFTU - I wonder if the BTP officer might complain over it - especially since his badge no. is clearly visible.

I also really like the back of the inlay - how the trees bleed into a green landscape thing.

Just got the album on iTunes and Chinese eBay (taobao). Can't wait to compare the two different versions of the artwork.

I think part of the lyrics of Turning Into You are missing.... the break part

I knew the photo was real pretty much as soon as I got the album, as I checked the credits first. It says "Occupy photo: Alternative Press". I wanted to see on which tracks Pete is drumming, and saw the line about the AP photo, too :D

Who knows, maybe the officer is a fan of the band and he's like "Fuck yeah!" now :D

By the way, what do you folks think about the artwork (not just for individual songs, for the whole album)? I love it, I was a bit worried at first that it might look a it weird, but now that I'm holding the actual album in my hands I must say it does look really well, fitting the album's theme and everything. I like it a lot better than RAFRAG, it's more interesting :)

I love the extended picture you see when you lift the CD out of the case. Like it's the forest from the front cover under the cd and degrades out into bright colors as you look left at the back of the leaflet. Awesome stuff!

I love V for Vendetta

I very much dislike the front and back covers, but the inside is really cool! I like the Americana/CO1 style pages. :)

That photo with the Guy Fawkes guy is really cool! I've been living in the UK for a few months now, and this is the first new Offspring CD I bought here, so that it's a British cop somehow makes it even more awesome and a bit more personal for me :)

And I was really happy to see the new skull logo printed on Slim Picken's bomb. (Of course it's on the CC page too, which features the single cover, but I'm not a fan of that Katy Perry tribute/parody design.)

i just got my copy, omg the artworks is so cool! only thing that bugs me is that this time they were to lazy to give each song a different artwork, but im cool with it, the guy fawkes thing its amazing :)
