This is a scan of the autographed CD liner notes I won in a contest. It is signed by Dexter, Noodles, Greg K, and Pete.

If you're interested in buying, please PM me with your highest offer - the highest offer gets it. I'll ship worldwide and accept payment through PayPal. Thanks for looking.

I also won a new & sealed Days Go By CD (not autographed) but since I'd already bought the album, I haven't opened it. That's for sale too if anyone's interested.

Just a note that it's forum policy to sell things like this on eBay so that there's buyer and seller protection and no one risks getting ripped off. Please do not buy and sell using PMs.

Ok, thank you, I did not know. I will make an eBay auction.

Maybe the Offspring should just sell these on their website, at least the money will go to the band.

I was hoping fellow "real fans" would understand. Didn't think I would need to explain myself. I have been a huge fan of The Offspring for most of my life. They have always been my favorite band. Obviously if I need to sell this it is for personal reasons. People should not be so quick to judge or criticize.

I didn't feel the need to preface this with "I hate to sell this but..." because you know what? I love The Offspring's music! I have Days Go By on MP3 and CD, I listen to it everyday. Their music is what I care about and what I'll always have.

just out of curiosity... What other kind of reasons are there, besides personal? Public reasons?

She is not the first to sell signed merchandise and post it on the forum, nor will she be the last. Stop being dicks, y'all.

I sold my copy of the Blackball EP on eBay (the black one - keeping the clear one for myself). Bills don't pay themselves. Is that a problem, too?

I just don't understand why, when people have been posting eBay links of things here for years, that suddenly this one is a problem.

of course not that's not the same thing as winning a signed cd from a radio station then turning around and selling it right away

im sorry if i was too quick to judge or criticize in this thread but that's just the way i feel

Especially considering that a lot of people on here can't even take part in those contests because they don't live in the US.

I think people have issues because it was a contest.. that we all entered most likely. Anyway half of the fun of memorabilia is finding it. My buddy found an autographed cd of smash at a local goodwill in san diego.

It's a signed CD. Pretty de rigueur stuff for contests. I've had bands sign literally hundreds of CDs to give to radio stations, etc. for contests. I don't think this is something so rare that it merits this much criticism. No, you probably can't enter a local US radio station's contest if you live outside the states, but you probably can't enter if you live outside the state that radio station is in, to be honest.

Matter of opinion. Some sadly enter those contests solely for the purpose - that if they should win - to make some money afterwards whilst others just want to have that for them "precious"/special item. But hey, to each his own - no one is forced to buy ...

What I don't understand is how people could buy it. Selling it lecit, but an autograph is a sign of you meeting the band, having an autographed cd from others is a bit pointless for me. Or at least for a common cd, it may have been different for a club me cd, or some other rarieties. Good luck to the bidders.

Whoa that's actually a really neat contest prize! A grill signed by the band lol! I'm glad I took German in high school so I can barely make out what it says. Correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like the question is "What year was Smash released?"

I have maybe 50 or 60 signed records and CDs, all signed directly for me by meeting the bands. If i won an autographed CD/record, it wouldn't mean as much to me as there are no memories from the show, or the satisfaction of meeting them/talking to them.

Yeah, I agree with this. Buying autographed stuff has never made sense to me, in nearly ANY circumstance (the only exception being something you don't already have and that you would actually use - like a rare CD or vinyl... maybe a poster you really love). Most autographed things never get used, and if you want it just for the autograph, it doesn't really mean a thing if the autograph wasn't FOR YOU.

Regarding selling stuff you won in a contest... entering a contest for something you're not interested in, with the sole intent of selling it and making money is totally douchey. However, nobody here knows Muttleygirl's situation. She owns DGB already, which means she's somewhat of a fan. If you win something legitimately and honestly, I see no problem with deciding to sell it. Maybe she entered the contest cause she wanted the signed CD, but something happened and she really needs the money. Or maybe she's a bastard who entered the contest just to get some money off the sale. At any rate, it's YOUR decision whether or not to buy it. If you have a problem, don't buy it.
