I am having a recurring problem where I log in and everything looks fine but then when I enter a thread it now says I am not logged in and can't reply. Other times it lets me reply, I just can't use the "reply with quote" function because it asks me to log in endlessly. The only thing I can seemingly always do without any problem is start a new thread. Fix please?

I've noticed this happens to me when I've been using a browser that's set not to allow or save cookies. Well, it doesn't log me out quite as often as you've mentioned, but it does happen, often in the middle of long posts.

I have not encountered this issue. But I allow offspring.com to set cookies, and every darn page on the web. I also allow offspring.com to run JavaScripts.

Have you guys tried clearing your cookies? Did that solve it for you the other day 1565?

Are your using Facebook Connect to login or normal login?

I have been experiencing this problem for a while. Sometimes, I can login (normal) on the homepage but can't login in a thread ... and when I go into a thread, I'm logout. Cookies have been cleared but the problem persists.

Are you concise in your usage of www (or not) for the website? I hope that that is not the problem, because it would be dumb coding.

Indeed, I cleared out my cache and my cookies and the site came back up. Thanks Tijs!

What about what Jojan mentioned, that's not the case? Does it happen in other browsers, if you tried it?

How would they have managed to mess that up?

I don't speak 'dumb coding' or any type of coding ... so I don't understand what Jojan is talking about :( I have tried IE and Google Chrome, it does the same on both.

Just that you should try and only be concise in your usage of use "www.offspring.com" (or without www) in the URL. I have only www URLs, because I only allow "www.offspring.com" to set and read cookies. So if I were to visit the thread page without www I will get the same logged-out experience as you. But if you allow all pages to read and set cookies, this should really not be an issue.

I enabled tracking, whatever that means, and it seems likely that may have fixed the issue. Thanks for the suggestions.
