I believe he means "I think differently now thanks to the Offspring."

How the Offspring changed his way of thinking I don't know. Kinda funny though, that he needed a band to become an independent thinker or whatnot.

No bands have changed my life in any significant way.

the offspring have changed my taste in music,
and since music is a big part of my life, you can
say they have *somewhat* changed my life.
i listened to the backstreet boys before i heard
the offspring in 1997. big change as you can
see.

The Offspring, definitely, I used to try to fit in, I tried to dress like everybody else and I listened to whatever everybody else listened to, now I don't.

nothings really changed my life

i like to think i have a mind of my own that isnt phased by anything...

I was bought up listening to metal, rock and punk music - so I've always been into it. Punks definately my favourite genre, followed closely by metal, then ska, rock...emo drives me insane though.

..musics helped me through alot of shit though, Offspring is definately up there. Hendrix, Floyd, Ramones, Strung Out, Slayer (when im really really angry and just wanna scream)...just general random bands.

I had grown up with the Beatles, but about 6 years ago I started to listen different pop shit. Then Nirvana and the Offspring came into my life. I guess this bands had changed my life. Especialy the Offspring. From that time I listeninig only good, qualitative music, which supports me in my life.

I'd have to say KoRn.

I owe alot to them. Before, I use to be another radio whore, then I discovered them. I was blown away. Needless to say, they got me into stuff like Limp Bizkit and Blink 182. Soon after I got into The Offspring, and now I listen to tons of stuff. I love folk, indie, metal, nu-metal, punk, and above all.. rock.

They got me loving rock music, and I still think KoRn rocks even after all these years.

"Gone Away" means alot....I lost my mother in cancer when I was 12, so its much more then just a song to me.

"Have you ever" is also very emotional I think.

^^ i cant listen to gone away much anymore, my best mate committed suicide, and before he died those lyrics were the last thing he wrote.

Amazed also reduces me to tears at the best of times. Both awesome songs though.

metallica overall, nirvana, and offspring

my first three real bands i liked

Early 1998 was when I started getting into rock music and abandoning pop music.
That year I discovered The Offspring, Green Day, Foo Fighters and Blink 182. (the albums released by all of them that year are still my faves of theirs - Ixnay, Nimrod, The Colour & The Shape and Dude Ranch)

So I guess I have these bands to thank, aswell as The Cure, 3 Colours Red,Papa Roach and The Smashing Pumpkins, as they broke away from the mould a bit more and made my tastes more varied.

But my biggest thanks goes to the Offspring as they were my original temptation from what I was listening to before.

They introduced me to a lot of bands. But to change my life? Nah. I don't think any band ever changed my life.

Alice In Chains...To be honest with you it broke my heart, I literally cried when I found out Layne overdosed...I was barely 12 when that happened but I've been listening to Alice since I was 4 and as I got older I understood what Jerry and Layne were singing about and that brought upon a strong respect for them. I can't really describe "how" they changed my life but they do have a strong impact on me.
