Did anyone notice this before? The Offspring are going to appear on the next Punk O Rama cd. According to the Epitaph website there it will be an unreleased song on it. But will it be an old song or a new song?

This is where i got this from:
http://www.epitaph.com/bands/index.php?id=430

I thought so to, cause Epitaph got to own the rights of that song and i guess they only own the rights of old songs...

"Punk-O-Rama 10 is the latest installment in the largest punk rock compilation series of all time! This album features unreleased tracks from The Offspring, Bad Religion, Rancid, Pulley, Hot Water Music, Bouncing Souls, The Matches, Scatter The Ashes, The Special Goodness and Danger Doom plus songs from Pennywise, NOFX, Matchbook Romance, Motion City Soundtrack, Sage Francis, Youth Group, Millencolin, Tiger Army and more! The record also includes a bonus DVD featuring 17 music videos from your favorite Epitaph artists! "

Sounds like a nice edition,

Offspring, Bad Religion, Rancid, Hot Water Music, Pennywise, Millencolin and TIGER ARMY!

Plus the videos, awesome.

It drops on June 7 in the US.

Epitaph owns the full rights to Ignition and Smash and has partial rights to S/T. Nitro also has partial control over S/T but has the rights to many of the Offspring's rare songs from that time period. The unreleased track could be one on an out-of-print vinyl, like "The Blurb," or it could very well be something that has never been heard by the fans.

I think this may be the track: http://www.offspring.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Offspring.woa/wa/interview?interviewID=308

Scroll down and read about the song ''Mission From God'' which didnt make Ignition. I wouldnt be suprised if that was the track added to this disc.

Punk-o-Rama 2 isn't bad either.

Punk O Rama 4 is easily the best one, but 1 and 5 are also really good. I have 1-7, but 7 was so horrible that I refused to keep up with them after that. I'll definitely be buying number 10 though!!

1. Are Pretty Fly, TKAA and WDYGJ really "oldies"??

2. Pretty Fly, TKAA and WDYGJ are from Americana, which is an album manufactured and distributed by Sony, so they hold the rights. I really doubt they'll put any of those songs in an Epitaph album.

3. The above songs and L.A.P.D. were already released in past albums. They're talking about unreleased stuff here...

You're a young fan, aren't you?

"Pretty Fly," WDYGAJ? and TKAA were released in 1998 on Columbia Records. The "Punk-O-Rama" series is on Epitaph, meaning that they can only use songs from no later than 1994. Either it's going to be a song that was released on one of their early 7" singles, or it's going to be something from the recording sessions for their Epitaph albums that has yet to be heard by the fans.

Man, it'd be so rad if it is "Mission From God", or any other song we have yet to hear. Still, can't help but feel they will dish out a track like "Hey Joe" or "The Blurb". Hope not though.
