Well...either raining, or when you're driving through a desert in the middle of nowhere (that's how it happens on tv and in movies). I got a flat tire today while it was raining. I've never had to fix one before so I was pretty clueless as to what to do, but I had a friend with me that had to change one before. I had to remove all the stupid junk from the trunk of my car (and there is a LOT of stupid junk in my car) and put it in the backseat so we could get the spare tire and the jack out. Then it took like 15 minutes to fix it and we were off again! But very slowly, cause you can't trust spare tires. I'm gonna buy a whole new set of tires tomorrow. A couple weeks ago I told myself I was going to do it next month because they were getting old and I'd actually have a decent amount of money then, but now that I got a flat, I'm much more inclined to do it now. That'll be a decent chunk out of my wallet.

My dad has those sensors on his car. And since last week I'm allowed to drive in his car, awesome.

I think those would be a bit expensive...(i.e. no)

On a side note, am I the only person who gets nieh and Tijs mixed up?

I get the two of us confused all the time. Sometimes I see something Tijs wrote and then I'm like "what the hell? I never said that...". Then I notice his avatar and have a hearty chuckle at the memories I have of watching Pinky and the Brain on the Warner Brothers television station.

That never happened to me. Can't really see why it would. =/

Dave, there's a lot of times that you post "Is it just me, or _____"-esque things. Hahaha.

Or you could just listen for a hissing sound, as I did a little while ago after eating at a Thai restaurant. I had picked up some sort of industrial bolt after driving on dirt roads at dusk (the movie scene for a flat), but I fortunately heard the noise in time to get a mechanic to patch the thing up in two minutes for twelve bucks.

I've gotten flats twice before though that I didn't catch in time, but neither were when I was on the road. Once I got a friend and fixed it myself, the other time I didn't have a spare and had to pay out the ass for a mechanic to patch up my tire on a Sunday.
