Do you think designer labels are the true meaning of quality?!

03-28-2005, 03:39 AM
not really, do you?

03-28-2005, 03:45 AM
it depends really , if they are right beside each other and you see a shirt you like in the charity shop , but the exact same in the designer one , its a different story

03-28-2005, 03:46 AM
yeah but some are so expensive and you could find the same in a "regular" price shop..

03-28-2005, 03:48 AM
i would rather go to somewhere in the middle price range

03-28-2005, 03:54 AM
me too !!!!!

i still dont look down at charities though , high heels suck , i just felt like saying that

03-28-2005, 07:32 AM
Yes I do.It's a small price to pay to be the coolest kid on the block.
but when you think about it , is it really that small

03-28-2005, 07:56 AM
yeah kind of

I vote for charity shops...you can find some nice clothes in there....sometimes.
As for top-quality etc...You're gonna pay 80 for a shirt/jeans and get a *i like your shirt* comment.
You know know my ideas when I'm shopping.:)

it depend what it is and the make in jeans well lets face it they all look the same but in t shirts, hoddies, trainers etc you better off going for the good make becuse the feel and look better and are better quality even though they cost more

03-28-2005, 09:26 AM
i dont care at all anymore

03-28-2005, 09:31 AM

You're a scumbag.

03-28-2005, 03:56 PM
To be honest I'm not even sure what's considered to be designer labels.
I just buy things that look good.

I don't care who makes the clothes as long as they're cheap and i like them i'm happy. In fact i'm wearing a pair of black bondage trousers from the 80s right now; they're awesome and i got them in a charity shop!

sometimes, i guess.

from my experience, certain designer clothes tend to fit really well and last a long time. however, it doesn't mean that it's always true.. or that non-designer stuff is by definition low quality. I've seen some SHITTY, and i mean SHITTY stuff by some of the most high end designers. -shrugs- And I have some "underground" stuff that was a couple bucks and wears/looks better than Prada ever could. so -shrug- again.

what i hate is when people buy designer clothes just for the brand. it's really annoying. rah.
