Thought I'd start a new thread instead of searching for the other one.

I got some pictures from France now, I'm gonna show them 4 at a time, because that's the rate at which I'm uploading them, and it's taking a goddamn life time. *sigh*

but alas, let's continué. You've seen the one of us in Paris, this is pretty much in the same style, just in Vichy.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/258c62a9.jpg
This is Lasse again. Drinking Orangina. He drank actually a lot of Orangina in France. I think I put some of my whiskey (yes I carry whisky on my person, I justify it because I can't drink beer. So when I'm around people who suddenly decide beer is good, I can just buy a coke and have a 'whiscola'.) I'm no alcohol, je te promis.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/6eed890c.jpg
This is Pernille. You can't actually see how truly drunk she is in this picture. She got incredibly drunk that night. She couldn't even walk. I have more pictures to prove this. hehe

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/bbdcf98f.jpg
This is Pernille. And that would be me. And that's Lasse in the side. This picture is absolutely hilarious. Especially because Lasse and Pernille are just the cutest couple now.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/8032ae6b.jpg
The cute couple before they actually became a couple. hehe. Notice the bottles on the table. This was a monday night. Us danes were the only nationality that was drunking. There was a table of Germans, like 20 of them, and only one bottle on the table. While the 4 Danes had quite a few. And that wasn't the totality of it, because the servant-waiter people kept cleaning up after us and stuff, so the total amount we drank was unbelievable.

hahah, I'd be offended, had that not come from an imposter.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project5.jpg
It only looks like I have no teeth. That was a Cuba cigar, oh god was it delightful.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project6.jpg
To contrast these teeth with those of the last picture. heh

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project7.jpg
This is Pernille lying down on a street in the middle of Vichy. Remember what I said about not being able to walk? Well to get here I had to carry her, while Lasse carried her purse. In fact for her to smoke, we had to find her lighters for her, and light the cigarrettes for her. haha. To get her off the street, we used her purse to convince her to get up. Which is hilarious on film. (Lasse recorded it.)

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project8.jpgThe new girl there is Meriam. Really cool person. For a person who did no drinking, she looks the most hungover of us all. hehe

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project9.jpgRandom picture of Lasse. My camera was used rather communally, what can I say?

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project10.jpg
I don't know why. Possibly to harass with flash.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project11.jpg
Looking like a junkie with the sheesha. haha. We spent nearly every day there. I just love how messed up he looks, with his eyes, hair, and hoody next to a waterpipe.

This is Julie and Asia puffing the white clouds of apple-flavored tobacco. Great picture.

oh Pernille is shocking pretty. And that would be the 2nd time in two days where people have told me I'm the perfect aryan.

This is a picture of Meriam going into the bathroom. She didn't want to go. So we took pictures of it, because at the time, that seemed humorous.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project14.jpg
Moi, smoking the sheesha.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project15.jpg
Meriam smoking the sheesha. haha it was hilarious when she did. When she smoked sheesha it was like she smoked hash. At first she was really hyper, then she got so tired that she took a nap, and then she woke up, kinda out of it, and really hungry. Also keep in mind, that Meriam is like the best student in our class. Always on time, always does her homework. So this was rebellious for her, and hilarious for us.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project16.jpgMore of the same.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project18.jpg This is Youijin. She's from South Korea, and from my morning class. She was hilarious, spent a bit of time with her actually. And she's especially cool cause her name is pronounced like Eugene (city where I grew up).

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project21.jpgThis is Adel of Libya. I talked to him a bit about religion and politics. I had a really good discussion with him of Libyan politics. The political system of Libya is incredibly democratic, in the true meaning of the word.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project22.jpgThis is Assad and Youjin. Assad is cool. He was the owner of the café there. But he was really just 'one of the customers'. He was great to talk to. Gave me two books when I left. I love this guy.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project23.jpgThis is from when the three of us, drank a bottle of malibu, with stolen glasses, on a park bench at night. It was a hilarious time.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/miracle_of_vichy/Project24.jpgThis is Meriam on coffee. Remember when I said sheesha for her is like hash for the rest of us? Well coffee for her is like alcohol for the rest of us. She finds things funnier, becomes louder, and has a more difficult time walking, while on coffee. it's hilarious.

only two more pictures to go.

ah, anyways, we should also be doing some catching up now shouldn't we Peaches?

How are things going with you? It's been what, at least a month or two since we actually had one of our email-like transactions? ah but we are such busy little students.

I imagine you have some exams coming up, and have finished some as well. I believe I read somewhere that you did pretty well on one, congratulations!
I have exams next month, so I'll start studying, at some point later on.

Any progress with the gypsie band and other musical projects you have going on, perhaps?
My band is going pretty well, we are working on getting a regular place to play at.

Did Huibert ever move out? (or should I still refer to him as the eye-opening guy? ;) ) How's that working out?
hmmm I actually do have some news on the girlfriend front, been seeing a 27 year old student for the psat 3 weeks. We basically can only see each other on the weekends where we sort of go crazy and have a good time. I can't complain I enjoy it. But I am quite happy.

So what's going on with the meet-up? I plan on buying my train tickets as soon as I get paid.

Please, just fill in what's new with your life. It's been too long. Anyways, I must be going now. Let's hope you see this thread, :P

FINALLY! the famous, fantastic, photo-filled topic devoted to me. *bounce bounce*
those pictures are definitely completely awesome sweet Per. man, Pernille indeed is a beautiful gal & she makes a cute couple with Lasse, who definitely isn't bad looking himself. cigar, alcohol, some smoking of stuff... fucking priceless. it looks like your vacation was majorly priceless.

catching up is good. way good. *big ass smile*
we indeed are busy little bees. I guess that's a good thing & I guess that makes our email-like transactions work. the fact we're both busy & very muchly out there, doing stuff. hah, if I'd be sitting behind the computer all day, I wouldn't have much to tell you anyway, now would I? ;p

this year I've taken three exams, of which I've passed two, so I guess I'm still doing okay. the last one (the one I was so excited about & I actually didn't just pass, but did well on) doesn't really count though, because in four weeks (27th of May) I'll have to take another exam & my final grade will be the average of the two. scaries! the one coming up will be slightly more difficult, because this one I passed was about the thorax, the respiratoir system & the stomach (which all kind of interests me), but the other one will be about blood, kidneys (that's a difficult subject) & lower part of the body, which has thousands of tiny annoying bones & ligaments. it doesn't only interest me less, but it's just more difficult & complicated stuff. but I'll survive.

how is the studying for you coming along? did you start already? I guess there's no hurry yet, you still have time. that must be a niiice feeling. I hope you'll do well. let me know.

the gypsy band is doing great! we have three concerts planned in June & two of them will pay quite nicely. today the old bandmembers with a few new ones left to Hungary (Budapest) to play there. the ambasade there paid for their trip. very, very awesome. the old first violiniste had let me know she'd be playing the first violin, so I figured it wouldn't be much use to come along, miss part of my studies, to stand by the side-lines (I imagine that could only be frustrating for me), so I decided to stay home. still I say "WE're going to Hungary", just because I feel I have the right to say that, being a part of the group (& an important part, too!) & it just sounds cool.

then there's another concert planned in June for me, again in that Catholic church, where I also play every Christmas eve. what can I say? it pays well, so yay.

glad your band is doing well. are you ever going to become famous, dear sweet Per? haha, that'd be just kick-ass. I'd go to cd-shops, ask for your cd & say "yeah, I know that guy. he's a friend of mine, you know."

Huibert got an offer to live somewhere in the core of the centre, but in the end the house that was supposed to be bought, where he was supposed to be going to, was never bought in the first place. houses are incredibly expensive here. it's hard to make a deal. so he still lives here, which is good & comes in handy, when you're coming over! should previde us some space, the fact I can clear at least one room by sleeping in his.

either way, he's still the Eye-Opening Guy, that's for sure. my sweet little EOG. *smile*
last night we had a tiny fight. he had whiskey & beer to drink & couldn't keep his hands off me. he's really sweet when he has had a few, but at some point I got so annoyed, I yelled "piss off!". drunk, poor Huib got all "aw no, you shouldn't scream at me" with puppy eyes & stuff, being a bit offended. I told him I was sorry & we had sex. which is good, because Huibert always wanted to have 'make up sex', but we never really fight, so we never got to it. this was a good enough excuse. ;p

aherm.. I don't know why I'm telling you this.

Per! you stud!! a 27 year old student! how.. incredibly.. rowr. having fun together sounds good. very, very good. I don't know how serious you two are, but it makes me glad to hear you're happy about the situation. fantastic. you've got to tell me more about her. what's her name? what does she study? how does she feel about you? if you want to share, please do.

the plans for the meet-up are still alive & kicking. I'm certain Tizz, Iza & Ken will come & I'm hoping for Sim too, who expressed some doubts I think. but in the end she has no choice, because I'll just make her come. maybe, MAYBE, Sanni will come too (with her mum, so she sees we're trustworthy) & -that- would totally rule & gets me very excited. then I've heard from a few others they'd like to come too, but I don't know if they were serious about it. it's definitely going to be awesome. the fact you're so close to buying those tickets gets me all in the mood & bouncy. man, I can't wait. I can't wait!!

I guess that's all for now. my life mostly consists of band, studies, friends & boyfriend, so there's not much more to tell. I'll keep you updated, if you keep me updated. ;p & THANK you for so many awesome pictures of your trip. the pictures are brilliant & you are brilliant & it makes me want to hang out with you even more.

ooo, I forgot to add my life consists of "leg" at the moment also.
my leg is still troubling me, so I went to a sportdoctor, dr Oei, (you've got to hand it to my parents; they know so many doctors all together, I can get in anywhere), who did a quick examination to come to the conclusion, that it indeed is pretty damn limited in movement & very touchy. that ain't good for a leg that broke 1.5 years ago. (yes, it's that long ago already! whoa.. still feels like yesterday. haha, literally almost) so he made me an appointment at the best sportdoctor in the fucking country (dr Niek van Dijk), which I'm pretty excited about, because I'll be in the waitingroom with all hot guys from Ajax & other famous sportsguys. rrrrar.

it was funny, because I called up the secretary of this doctor & said I'd like to make an appointment. this is how the conversation went:
woman; "so.. what professional sport do you do?"
me; "...I don't. but I'm 20 years old & already can't even walk very well. I'd say that's a good enough reason."
woman; "sorry, but then you can't get an appointment. you need a sportdoctor to make an appointment for you."
I was silent for a while, surprised & frustrated medicine has become so incredibly bureaucratic & stupid. then I said; "well fine then. I'll arrange it."
now she went silent for a few seconds; "but you don't do any proffesional sport?"
I went cocky this time & said; "doesn't mean I can't arrange things. you'll hear from my doctor. I'm under treatment at the Papendal sportsclinic in Arnhem. I think you've heard of it. (basically everyone's heard of it & of the doctors who word there) doctor Oei will let you know when I'm available. goodbye."

hahaha, flabberfuckinggasted. in her face. the second time I called to confirm my appointment, a man picked up the phone; "but you can't make an appointment, unless you perform a professional sport."
that time I got really frustrated. the night before I went to a party & my leg was hurting an incredible load, so this time I was pretty damn desperate & fed up with the bureaucratical system they nowadays seem to use to fucking treat a person's leg. besides, I already had my hopes up to get an appointment. I'd already seen dr Oei & everything.
"I'm 20 for god's sake, my leg hurts. I'm 20 & I can't walk normally. I just want to be treated."
I actually almost bursted into tears & I guess my leg has became a sensitive spot of mine, aswell physically as mentally. this man was a surprisingly lot more sympathising than the woman I spoke to earlier. he quickly appologised.
"I'm very sorry. if a sportdoctor arranged an appointment, then I suppose you're in. I'm sorry."

so HAH. I've got an appointment for the 10th of May at the best fucking doc in the country, who's specialised on the area of ankles. (is that how you say it?) perfect. fucking perfect. I'm scared though. they might have to break it again. I don't know if I could take another 8 weeks in bed. grr.

oohh yay you found the topic. I was wondering there for a second. Tis 11.40 in the evening, and I've been writing a business report all day, so if I sound messed up in the brain, that is the reason. Smack me if I mention ERP or BPR.

anyways me thinks, it's soon time we get more pictures of you. I remember you posted some once a while back, in one of our topics. But it was quite a long time ago, and I know you have a functioning webcam. I assume there are some we can see of you, so cough-em-up. Simply because I never check the photo-album topic, so I might've missed out on something. Or well, post them anyways because I demand you, and I must remind you, I have the authority of a potential-mailman.

shit, hearing you describe what's required for a medical exam, certainly confirms why I would make a horrible doctor. omgzorz. argh good luck with that ligaments stuff, bejaysus. When you do become a doctor, have you considered working for Doctors Without Borders, or one of those organizations? (mostly because I know you have a wish to travel to Africa again).

And no, I haven't started studying yet, unfortunately. But we get a special period of time for our study vacation. However we have no idea what we will be examined in, (from everything we've studied the past two years) until 2 weeks before we have the exam (then it will be limited to the subjects, we'll still have to study the entire curriculum.) But that's not so bad. Unless we have Marketing or IT in written exams, then I'm really fucked. Too many technical terms. I need to write a French report for Thursday. And tomorrow I have to work for my party, while making a presentation for Thursday and shit. So I'll be a busy bee.

Why doesn't the gypsy band ever come to Copenhagen? ...Hungary? curses.

Ah make-up sex, that is something special. hehe, although quite scary how you women seem to make up these situations. It's not fair, guys seem to have to follow this rule-book while chickas seem to make up the rules, curse you all.

ah, her name is Inge. yes, Per and Inge. To any Dane, who had to judge based on our names, we would sound like people who were over the age of 80. She studies History and Russian (yeah, omg perfect.) One of the few periods in my life, where I am certain I am talking to a person who is more intelligent than myself. Which has inspired a new wave of reading, researching, and sounding like a pompous ass. But it's certainly refreshing, cause normally I believe I suffer from some sort of superiority complex, heh. Although I think that's not too hard if one is part of the 'old guard' of this bbs.
Side-tracking. I'm pretty certain she's rather into me. She seems to have plans of what we can do together, almost immediately after I say 'what are you doing on Friday?'. And now she is pushing for us to hang out during the weekdays (which is usually difficult due to our schedules,) but I certainly won't say no. I really can't say how serious we are, we have casual sex on the weekends, and inbetween we just click really well. We basically have agreed not to have sex with other people, so we're now exclusive I suppose. Which hints towards some seriousness.

Congratulations on getting an appointment with the sports doctor. Must be nice to have connections. damn. The only connections I have, are to my waiter friends. And they don't offer discounts. curses.

did the business report turn out good? I mean, are you satisfied with the result? then it must be good.

I don't know what is wrong with me; I type real slowly all of the sudden & everything takes more thinking. maybe it's the red wine, rose & Vodka-Jus I had yesterday. we (Anton, Huibert & I) had a dinner at an old roommate of ours. (Max) it was loads of fun, but Anton brought his new digi-cam & he couldn't resist to tape us half of the time. extremely annoying. I don't know why I even take pictures with my webcam, when I thoroughly hate it when people take pictures of me. I guess I don't mind it as much as long as I'm the one doing the picture-taking. at one point we all were in a quite interesting discussion about how the Netherlands are doing well when it comes to business & architecture, but that our science has gone to hell. I refused to believe that (it'd mean I chose studies with no future here) & I hate the thought, but I guess I didn't have much proof in the discussion to add, besides; "our science is cool, man. we're good." yeah, I had some splendid arguments that evening, shortly before I let Huib know we -had- to go home, because I was too drunk to stand. Anton taped that discussion, annoying ass that he is.

as for more pictures of me...
hmm.. I guess you DO have the authority of a potential-mailman, so I'll dig some up. I don't know which ones you've already seen, or noticed on the board. you know I'm a full-time picture whore, when it comes to showing my face on here. (what a WEIRD combination with the fact I always jump away when a camera is even directed at me)

I guess that's it for now. a quick picture update on me. I haven't changed, besides the fact my hair has grown longer.

my mind is a bit distracted; 1.5 weeks ago someone of the studentclub died. I knew from which fraternity-group, but as I know only one guy in that particular fraternity-group, I wasn't really worried. I mean, it's not a nice thing to hear, but what can you do? then this morning I suddenly remembered what Huib told me yesterday evening. it was some guy, that hung himself six months after his mother died, because he apparently couldn't cope, or something. the guy I know lost his father not too long ago (cancer) & now his mother is dying also from cancer. & suddenly now I'm scared the story was told wrong & that it's the guy I know who hung himself. stupid, I know. but this guy from the student-group I know.. well, I slept with him. so now my thoughts are all over the place. I just spoke to my mom on the phone & she heard, that a friend of the son of their friends (who are both from Amsterdam) had killed himself. (can you still follow me?) so, if he's the friend of the son of their friends, then I doubt it's the guy I know & slept with, because the son of their friends is much older, I think. argh. it's all quite horrible. just the thought. you know? & the son of my mom's friends already lost his brother (& found him dead) a year ago, because he hung himself too. so the son of my parents' friends just lost two very young persons, close to him, to suicide. frustrating. just outright horrible.

sorry, I just had to share this. maybe it'll make me type faster, now my thoughts are slightly cleared. but this is not a cheery subject, so I'll move on.

I'm slightly interested to work for Doctors Without Borders, when I'm finally a doc. I mean, it's good work. it just troubles me that every organisation, that's supposed to help poor people, is always so corrupted. so I was just thinking of moving to Africa, or another country I'd love to go to, & work there without any organisation involved. it seems more direct to me & I think that's what they need most; direct help. I think that's also what they trust most. if I was African, I wouldn't trust an organisation runned by silly rich white people if my life depended on it.

I don't want to sound rude, dear Per, but a gypsy band can't possibly learn much in Copenhagen. hahaha. I mean, there are no real gypsies to show us how it's done. I think I'll spend the rest of my days (as long as I'm in the band) trying to learn how to play with a gypsy-atmosphere, as I definitely can't truly ever pull it off. I didn't grow up with it & that blood doesn't run through my veins, so maybe being in a gypsy band as a Dutchy is slightly a frustrating experience, but at the same time it's pretty liberating, because the music is so open for personal interpretation & mostly emotional.

man, I didn't think up the concept of make-up sex. in fact, it was my boyfriend that said he heard it was supposed to be so good. one time he even said; "okay, let's fight. just for once, so we can have hot make-up sex". I laughed, because I have no idea how it'd make our sex even better. I mean, I -love- our sex. wah wah, too much information, I know. :/

things sound good between you & Inge. it's good not to shag around, when you already have occasional sex with her. that would probably just make the situation weird & even though maybe you don't love each other, or something, sex involves feelings anyway. I'm curious how things between you two will work out. I think it's fantastic that she somewhat stimulates you intellectually. that's a pretty wonderful thing.

thank you for the congratulations! yay, I'm pretty excited about it myself. I was wondering if I should bring a pen & a notebook, or something, so I can ask for the signatures of hot sports guys in the waitingroom & for that of the doc. haha, it'd be hilarious if I asked his signature. "doctor van Dijk, could I have your signature? after all, it cost me so much trouble to even get an appointment with you.." ugh, the medical system should under no circumstances be as bureaucratical as it is now. that's just stupid.

I just heard from a member of the board of my student-group, that the guy who commited suicide was from the year 1999. (he became a member in that year) that confirms my suspicions; he's way too old to be the guy I know. (he became a member in 2001/2002, I think) but it also confirms, that he's probably the friend of the son of my parents' friends. it's fucking sucky either way. I guess to me it's now slightly less sucky, but that makes it incredibly much suckier for someone else & it's just a messed up ugly story. I feel guilty for being slightly reliefed, when it's so horrible for all the people, who did know him. but I promised I wouldn't talk about it again. so there.

Per! I got the result of the MRI-scan & rontgen pictures they made exactly one week ago. the cartilage in my ankle is damaged, because a small, tiny bone in my ankle-joint also broke in two. ack. so now what? I don't know..

I heard some people talk of transplantation of cartilage, but that'd mean I'd have to be operated in two places, which doesn't sound too appealing. then I know of a treatment, where they drill tiny holes in the bone to stimulate the making of cartilage. I don't know yet if that'd be an option for me. but then someone (the daughter of a orthopaedist, who was drunk by the way) told me there's something as substitute cartilage. I don't know how they'd want to apply that, but maybe they just inject it in the joint. haha, I hope so.

sorries, I'm just so reliefed I finally know what's wrong. at the same time I realise cartilage-damage is way bad. this could cause wear to my ankle-bones. so I'm worried, scared & glad at the same time, which is a strange mixture of feelings. :/

at the same time I've bumped this wonderful topic with my silly news-flash. multi-functional!

ooh la la chica, vous etes trés belle, trés jolie.

The business report turned out alright, unfortunately the presentation went really downhill. Julie, a member of my group, failed to show up because she was sick (Pernille was sick, yet she turned up.) and because of this, we had no powerpoint (a lot of the grade is based on the quality of the powerpoint.) So we got a 7. Which is like a C, which is extremely dissapointing. But hey, with no powerpoint, and part of our group gone, we did fine.

Sounds like an interesting time last night? I usually enjoy cameras at parties, because pictures of drunk people (especially myself) are hilarious. And then it always enhances a rogue-story to have pictures to back it up. You wouldn't have any photos to share would you?

You may be a picture whore, but I have a tendency to avoid the red-light-picture districts of this bbs, so it's so rare that I get to see a picture of people, which is a pity. Perhaps you should tell me the next time you post some of yourself, that would be good. And definitely good pictures you posted this time. *clicks the thumbs up icon for the title of this post thingy*

ew sorry to hear about the suicide instant. That's terrible. I know what you mean about how it's not a person you know (which is a relief) so it's sort of bitter-sweet (in a way).

The problem with working outside of an agency, in Africa, I'd imagine, is that you wouldn't have the protection of the agency. I mean, what happened in Zimbabwe could happen in other countries, although I probably don't need to tell you that.

and hey, hey hey, we have gypsies in Copenhagen. somewhere. probably. or.....that's exactly why we need a gypsy band here, because we don't have any of our own. I can certainly imagine what it must be like to 'be the odd-one out' in this gypsy band. However, if you're good enough to be a part of it, then I'm sure no one is really complaining. Which reminds me, because I've known you were part of this gypsy band for a long time, I honestly thought you were gypsy or part gypsy.

yeah, I honestly don't know how make-up sex would be better. I suppose the seeking of forgiveness and the showing of it in an physical form is how. hmm must say I prefer lazy afternoon in bed sex. but I'm a lazy-afternoon kind of guy.

Speaking of Inge, going to call her around 12 min. to see if we're going to Dinner (which means breakfast too ;) ) It's the first of may this weekend, so we have to make our plans spill out onto the weekdays now. no problemo though.

I think we had a conversation once, on the importance of May 1st in Holland, although I don't remember what the conclusion was. Ah well, here it's a worker's holiday, and I'll be serving beer from 3 to 5. and probably volunteering somewhere else.

So I'm guessing you didn't get any autographs?

Yesterday my friend Phillip came over, he's the only friend I have where we can watch MacGyver, and Baywatch, high-five all the time, and still feel cool. haha.

ah your multi-tasking is truly brilliant. hope your cartilage problem works out. You know I'd give you some of mine if..it weren't...for the ...fact that....um.....er.... I'm selling mine
