If you could change your name to anything what would it be? It'd be cool if you post your current name too... :D

Also does anyone know how old one would have to be in order to change their name in England?

Awesome... I should have realized that... but then I am only 12 years old... You live in England, NiG? Do you the awesome accent?

Tired_Of_You

Well my name's Jenny Ostrowska; i hate the surname as i always have to spell/say it to people and that never goes down too well here in England.

I like Ostrowska. It's a better last name than mine.

My name is Valérie (so original!) but I don't want to change it.

JohnnyNemesis

Valerie is a beautiful name in my opinion.

I'm not too big on my name: "Ricardo"...in fact, I wouldn't like it much if it weren't for the fact that it flows beautifully with my last name. I guess I like my full name more than my first name!

I don't like Ricardo... sounds too Mexican... sorry!

JohnnyNemesis
04-13-2005, 03:43 PM
What's wrong with that?!

I'm not Mexican, but I am Latino, so I must ask.

Nothing's wrong with it... I'm just not a fan of Mexicans... they take up more than half of the population of my school/town and are for the most part immature, greedy, and self centered. Alot of them are illegal methinks as well.

Thanks, it takes a 'é' by the way :p It's just that there are so many people who have the same name as me. I remember a couple of years ago there were 3 other Valérie in my class.

It's true that it sounds cool with your last name.

You have a lot to learn, my friend. In due time, so no worries.

JohnnyNemesis

You!

And Val, I've never met another Ricardo, but I've met tons of people named "Richard". It annoys me when people think that our names are interchangable because they definitely are not!

Tired_Of_You
04-13-2005, 04:10 PM
Weird, they are totally two different names. Doesn't sound the same.

I'd probably just change my last name because of all the dumb people who can't say it or just see the D in front of the A....dumbasses....

Danielle D'Alfonso to Danielle Smith...nice and simple

TheUnholyNightbringer
04-13-2005, 04:19 PM
And horifically unoriginal. Why change that? So people can't spell it, big deal. They should learn to spell.

Tired_Of_You
04-13-2005, 04:20 PM
In my opinion D'Alfonso is better.

dirtybird
04-13-2005, 04:21 PM

TheUnholyNightbringer
04-13-2005, 04:22 PM
Let us start a petition. To ban the name "Smith" being taken by people who weren't born with it.

I say yeah, I say yeah.

They are only stupid. After you tell them a couple of times, they probably learned it, no? D'Alfonso is cool, keep it.

Did you know that if you take out the 'i' after the 'l' in the name of your city (papillon instead of papillion) it means butterfly in French? No, uh? I'm so cool.

Why do you want this name if a lot of people you know have it?

TheUnholyNightbringer
04-13-2005, 04:31 PM
Maybe Nebraska breeds unoriginality.

Ah, grow some balls.

Uh, well, only in the perverbial sense.

If you like it, force other people to say it properly. Smith is dull and unoriginal.

My full name is Nina Alida Johanna Goedegebure.

I wouldnt change it even though my surname is not the most pretty one and everybody keeps spelling it as Goedegebuuren.
I like my name; Nina and I think it fits me very well. Alida and Johanna are the names of both my grandmothers, I never knew Alida for she died before I was born and Johanna died last year. Like I said, I wouldnt change it, my mom did. Her name was Ingrid and she changed it into Inge. Only her parents kept calling her Ingrid but they both died so no Ingrid anymore.

Ricardo, trust me, it is interchangeable. It's just easier that way. I used to force everyone to say Per the Danish way, really an excercise in pointlessness. I let them say Peter in the states, I let them say Pierre in France, Pedro in Spain, Pyotr in Russian, it makes life easier my friend, trust me.

And anyone who'd name their kid Alphonso is an ass. That's the danish word for pimp.
