I don't remember any topic made before on recycling.
How many of you recycle and what items do you recycle?

I recycle:

aluminum cans
tin
paper
plastic
cardboard

I recycle paper, cardboard, glass, tins and cans. Plus,I give stuff I don't want ,like clothes to charity shops. There don't seem to be facilities to recycle anything else like plastics near me,which sucks rather.

It's really funny, 'cos in my complex everyone has a recycle bin, but there are only maybe half a dozen people who actually use them! You see the
trash bins sitting out on trash day overflowing with cardboard boxes! I
guess the people here are too lazy to take out 2 bins everyweek?

I recycle pretty much everything that is recyclable. Some people come around to pick it up every week, makes it easy.

If the dumpster behind my house goes to the recycling center, then I recycle a lot.
If not, I don't recycle at all.

Yup, we recycle.

I'm sure we recycle plastic, glass and paper, I'm not sure about the rest. I should go ask Ken's mom or something :/

That's stupid. It doesn't take a lot of time to recycle and it's better than putting everything in a trash bin =/
There's a place in Ontario that in a couple of years they will recycle everything.

He is an expert in Tai Chi.

Recycling a lot of things besides aluminum is more expensive than using new raw materials.

I was walking down the beach on top of the world
When I caught eyes with a beautiful girl
I walked up to her with a can in my hand
And through the pop can into the garbage can
She said Hey boy, What'd you do that for
When you throw things away you've got to make more
Recycle, reuse again and again
That's the only way you're going to be my friend
Recycle, recycle . . .

CHORUS:
Recycle cans, recycle glass,
Recycle at home, recycle in class
Reduce your garbage of every kind
Reuse everything, reuse your mind!
Recycle, recycle . . .

Well I felt a little pale and I felt a little thinner
So I said hey recycler, I'll take you out to dinner
She said I'm in a vegetarian mood
I'd like a little vegetarian fast food
I said I know the perfect place for you
They've got cashew burgers with a slice of tofu
But when the man at the counter said styrofoam or paper
Recycling girl says we don't want neither . . .reduce . . .

Then she pulls out her own plate and a mug
Gave it to the man and said fill this up
I want a soy milk shake with alot of banana
And a napkin for me, she says use your bandanna
Recycle, recycle . . .

CHORUS

So I said hey recycler, let's talk about love
She says first I think you'd better join my club
There's a club for the dolphins, a club for the trees
A club for the birds and a club for the bees
If you want to stick with me, you've got to be a doer
You can't drink the water when the river is a sewer
You get nothing done just sitting in the bleachers
We've got to play hard to save the other creatures
The Earth is our home, the Earth is our Mother
Yes I'm talking to you sisters and I'm talking to you brothers
If you want a healthy place to meet a boy or a girl
You'd better dance, recycle, work to save the world . . .
Recycle, recycle . . .

Reduce, reuse and recycle, the earth needs your help so do I.
Wont'cha please help me sing, the 3 little things.

When you've had a good night's sleep, you wake up and brush you're teeth.
Are you smart and cunning or did you leave the water running?
If you did I'm gonna weep.

Raise your hands if you've ever left the water running.

RAISE YOUR HANDS IF YOU LIKE TO SING.
BECAUSE IF YOU DO THIS SONG IS FOR YOU.
LET'S REMEMBER THE THREE LITTLE THINGS.
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

Do you carry your lunch to school?
Do you use a lunchbox as a rule?
You see, a brown paper bag makes Mother Earth sad.
Because you throw it away when you're through.

Raise yor hand if you carry a lunchbox.

CHORUS: repeat

When you're standing in the kitchen.
And you're nibblin' on some chicken, or ham.
As you throw it away, do you stop and say I forgot to recycle the can!

Rasie your hand if you recycle.

CHORUS: repeat

nieh always has a song hook-up handy.

I recycle any appropriate materials, including clay (Ceramics course).

Your technicality makes no contradiction to my statement. =p

I remember there was another recycling song that I used to hear a lot growing up, but I couldn't find it anywhere...so I had to post two to make up for the fact that I don't have a hook-up to that one.

REDUCE!
REUSE!
RECYCLE!

Didn't read Linda's post... but I'm a big recycler. I don't know if it's actually efficient, but since the programs are in place, I do it.

My city is a crazy recycler... not sure if it's the one Val mentionned, but it's pretty big on the recycling.

We do all the plastics, paper, styrofoam, cans, glass, and any organic material (meat, vegetables/fruits, paper towels/tissues).

The only things that go in the waste are basically cheap plastic grocery bags and plastic food wrapping (like saran wrap, ziploc bags, etc.) and really weird stuff like pens, etc.

It could be your city. I know right now they almost recycle everything and even organic material like you mentioned it.
