and in my scrounging around to find it, I found not one, but two different screws that I had lost previously...neither of which were the size of the one that I just lost now.

do i hear the 'new glasses' bell?

nieh

that's been ringing for the last six months. You eventually learn to tune it out...especially when you were stupid and forgot to sign up for eyecare benefits at work this year.

contacts!
or tape them together
or eye surgery

contacts don't stick on my left eye for some reason. That and they're more expensive than glasses, so they lose.
I don't need to tape them back together. I put a new screw in it's place. It's too long and the sharp tip sticks out the bottom, but it'll be fine for a while.
eye surgery is expensive and I don't trust it.

I may get it in few years once they know more about it, but I'm passing on it for the time being as well. I have a slightly protruding forehead and small, deepset eyes, so it's a bitch to put contacts in, as well.

His forehead is even with his face.. protruding means sticking out (I assume you know that, just letting you know what I meant).

Oh and I totally forgot to say that I can't imagine you with contacts because I've seen like two (?) pictures of you with glasses and you look damn good with them!

I DO look damn good with them. Though I also look pretty hot fresh out of the shower soaking wet without them. But no one here knows that.

Yeah...*sighs dreamily*

It's rather unfortunate though becuase I can only pull off the fresh outta the shower look for like 30 minutes at a time before I have to take another one. So I need glasses to complete my non-fresh outta the shower look.

Oh, but on the other hand, the 30 minutes must be very special and precious. See, when you're shining in all your beauty. Maybe the world is still not ready for the Almighty.

it's very special. So special in fact, that I want to buy a digital camera just so I can show everyone here. But alas, I am poor, and can't get a camera until long after I get new glasses (I already got a new chair!)

We'd all gaze in awe.

A new chair already? Now that was quick.

nieh
05-10-2005, 04:27 PM
yeah, it was only $20 too! I didn't want to subject another one of my "dining room" chairs to the same fate as the first one.

05-10-2005, 04:29 PM
Whoa, good one. I have no chair since we moved so I stole one from the living roomtill I get a proper one. Don't rock on yours too much! I'm trying not to either.

nieh
05-10-2005, 04:34 PM
This one doesn't let me rock in it. It's an actual computer chair this time and has wheels on the bottom. If I were to lean back in it, I'd die.

the_GoDdEsS
05-10-2005, 04:36 PM
Oh shit, you know I plan to get one of those with wheels too and stuff. No more rocking will make me cry for days, weeks, damnit MONTHS. I shall reconsider that choice.

nieh
05-10-2005, 04:40 PM
if you get a really good computer chair, they're built so you can lean back a little bit, but those are like $120. Mine is just a stupid little thing with wheels and no armrests!

the_GoDdEsS

Oh well, I'm totally used to on rocking on regular chairs. No wonder all the screws are lose or they broke already.
