The next time you decide, that it would be funny to use an online translator to translate whatever, make sure you correctly spell the words in your own native language first. This way you can avoid mistakes like

'Dieses sentances'

Dumbass.

Your name suits you. This thread wasn't meant to point out the inaness of your signature, so much, as it was to underline my dislike for you.

About your signature......You might wanna read it once again.

1) Using an online translator never was funny, and never will be
2) Don't call me dumbass
3) I'm aware my name suits me, that's why I used it
4) Can't really say i'm all too keen on you either
5) If you dislike me as much as I hope, you won't make anymore annoying comments about me....

Does someone's signature really deserve it's own thread? This is pointless, you could've said this in the "Say Whatever's On Your Mind" Thread.

Er....might I suggest that you get rid of the apostrophe in "typo's"?

Whilst we're on the subject of bad grammar/spelling - your second comma is actually incorrect.

It pretty much translates into "This sentence does not have a point to it"

Mentally_Challenged

When using an online translator that is.... I'm not much on German, considering I only "learnt" it for a year....

Stop being one.

I am not a dumbass for several reasons.
1) I am not an ass. I am a human, oddly enough
2) In your eyes I may seem dumb, but if you compare me to the rest of my year group, i'm not all too thick.

Sixpence.
05-22-2005, 12:24 PM
It's a bit difficult because you cannot translate "This sentence does not have a point to it" word by word.

If I get the meaning of it right, I'd say "Dieser Satz tut nichts zur Sache."
Free translated but makes more sense :)

1. People who use the word 'chav' are dumbasses. That is unquestionable.
2. People who say 'oy! but I'm smart for my year group' are dumbasses too.
3. People who try and negate the fact that they are dumbasses, by dividing the word into two separate words. Are clearly dumbasses.

The Man Who Became A Pig- That's quite true. Not to mention Denmark also has two comma systems. The grammatic comma and the Scandinavian comma. (the Scandinavian system is the same as the Norwegian and possibly the Swedish one.)

What's a comma system?
Call me a dumbass and then ask me to explain something to you. Had I been offended, this would've been a very sweet moment.

Now if you think about it, my Swedish friend, there are obviously different ways to place a comma in a sentence, than the good ol' Swedish way. The Americans use the conjunctional comma most often, which is before 'and, or, but' and other conjunctions. The Danes, use a comma to separate the grammatic parts of a sentence. I grew up in the states, and have lived in Denmark for 5 years, so I place commas in a very eclectic fashion.

Mannen som blev en gris

And the "dumbass" thing... I put it there because we were on the subject. :p
