most of the video theyre kinda looking at atom...maybe cant repeat isnt about retiring, maybe its about losing their old drummer and crap...with all the good times with ron and then the bad...just a thought

I havent thought at that, but it sounds like a good point!! I think it sounds more realistic than the retiring...!

Besides why would they quit anytime soon anyway? They got themselves a new kick ass drummer. Why join just to quit a year later? I mean, I liked Ron, but I'm liking Atom more.

There are bands whose members are a lot older, and they haven't quit yet, dumbass.

actually they might still have as much as 80 years before they *have* to stop. but that's if they reach 120 years old and that's unlikely, considering the frequent abuse their bodies suffer (shows alcohol & stuff...). but still they could go on for a long time. I'd say that they could do as much as 15 years more. so the GH would only be a half-career GH. :D

Atom is so energetic! It's cool that he can smile and still drum great while Ron was a great drummer but he was way too serious!

they arent exactly gonna carry on for atoms sake are they?!

Maybe not, but wouldn't it have been easier to just use a studio drmmer and then get someone for tour if things were still so static. He has been announced as a member of the band. It sounds like a lot of bother if they were going to quit tommorrow.

Don't want to sound like a dumbass, but that's not an opinion, it's an observation. But yes, he does appear more than Noodles. Even Greg K. appears more than Noodles.

To everyone who thinks The Offspring is about to retire really soon, think before speaking. The Rolling Stones is about to tour again, The Who is making a new cd, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant both are making music. They're WAY older than anyone in Offspring.

I have a thought about what the song's about.....Ron left the band and Atom came, they will have to wipe their eyes and turn the page cause life goes on...old days are back with Ron and Atom days are in the future.....I don't think they are gonna retire....

I sure hope they stay together for a long time. I'm gonna go insane if I don't get any more new Offspring music.

The retirement rumors have been around for at least four years. They likely have one more album up their sleeves after GH. Personally, I would prefer that they retire while they're still popular than fade into obscurity.

As for subject matter, "Can't Repeat" is about how what's in the past can't be changed but we can learn from it and look ahead to what the future holds and how to shape it.

You haven't been paying attention, have you? He left to devote his energy to his other band, Steady Ground.

BTW, what ever happened to SG? I was on the website the other day, and it was completely blank, but it had some nice backgrounds.

Does anybody have a link to Steady Grounds website? I haven't heard their music before and I'd like to check it out.

uhh...I just typed www.steadyground.com, which has nothing except cool background music on it, last time I remember.

edit: hey, it made the link by itself, cool.
edit 2: ok, now the site has an official newsletter and a BBS. I haven't been there in a while.

That's a really good fucking thoery! I did notice Atom in the video a lot, but I was too busy being mesmorised by his talent to really take in how much more he was in the video then Noodles or Greg K.

yeah right. and I do hope that the GH is like a "1985-2005" GH (remember, the band started in 1985 !)

and I hope there'll be a 2005-2025 GH too ! lol !
