That movie was so goddamn awful I'm not even going to start describing it. Unfortunately, it was also the last one I saw. Well, half of it - it was so utterly pathetic that I switched it off halfway through.

The last full movie I saw was Chicken Run. I had a nostalgia moment. 9/10 for Chicken Run.

As an American it's very embarrassing to have to watch movies from other countries to find films that deal with sex and love from an adult point of view.

last movies i watched from start to finish were uhh... Fast Times At Ridgemont High and Breakfast club, both get tens in my opinion. especially Fast Times. i've seen it like 20 times and its still fuckin hilarious! i didn't even remember that it was sean penn until the end the last time i watched it (i was really tired at the time). not the kind of role you usually see him in.

"(smack, smack, smack)... dude! did you hear that?... that was my skull!... i'm soo wasted!..."

Sin City - 2/10

I so much didn't like it. I there will be people telling me that "omgz, you suck, tarantino movie, rulez." - i've been getting that from my classmates...

I really didn't like it, it might be black/white/red with blood, and chicks, and more blood. In my opinion a good movie isn't one where ppl's limbs get cut off and after being shot in the head, having his hands cut off, and some metal thing thru his forhead still being able to talk...
Probably won't even be curious to buy the comic book to see if it resembles the movie, but probably does.
Oh and it's filled with celebrities. Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, etc, etc, etc.
but unfortunately the movie rating is not proportional to the celebrities you have in it...

If i'd have to rate it, i'd give it a 2, 1 for the acting cuz they did some ok acting.
and 2 for the black/white/red stuff. let's say it was different than the rest.

but the plot. meh. if there is a plot...

Not my tatste, let's say that.

A v good Tarantino movie is "Pulp Fiction" - now that's a classic.

lost_nvrfound
06-17-2005, 12:39 AM
pulp fiction kicks the ass of all tarantino flicks! i get that with Napoleon Dynamite. everyone is all "how could you possibly not like that movie?". it has its moments. but overall, i found it to be a really crappy movie. the, i guess, worst part of it all is that no matter how much i disliked the movie, i still find myself quoting it all the time. its really annoying

Dodgeball is terrible. The plot hardly makes sense, and the charachters are unbelievable. It's also not humorous in the slightest.
Dodgeball was hilarious! How could you not find it funny at all? The reason it was so great was because it was so nonsensical and had so many plot holes that it was amusing. The best parts are when the huge guy walks in on Ben Stiller doing something creepy. i.e. Stuffing pizza in his pants, or shocking himself after almost biting a doughnut. "C'mon fatboy, just one bite! Won't hurt you!"

Why out of 8? That really confused me, I thougth you gave it 6/10 for a second. It is a great movie, because it's more than just Batman swooping in to save the day.

Say Anything 10/10
Any John Cusack film is worth seeing, the ending of Say Anything is perfect.

the Fifth Element 8/10
Rather anti-climatic, an interesting movie nonetheless.

Taxi Driver 9/10
An enjoyable view, I would have liked it more had it ended in the whore house (but the ending it gave was still strong and helped to convey the idea that the film was putting across).

Batman Begins 8/10
Best Batman thus far, actually tells the audience what the fuck the deal is with the bat cave and Batman can actually fight well. Scarecrow goes out like a bitch, but hopefully that was just to set him up for a return in the next bat flick.

Unleashed 7/10
An okay Jet Li joint, the villain in this film is fucking Smee from Hook. Doesn't include the wire work of Hero, which is most definitely a good thing (Fuck you Tarantino).

Methinks you've rated Unleased too high. I'd give it a 6 or so... There were way too many HUGE plot holes and the mixture of plot and ass-kicking wasn't done correctly.

I just saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised with it and I desperately want to bang Angelina. Goddamn. I'd give it an 8/10, what the hell.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith- 1/10. Sucked. Sucked sucked sucked sucked sucked. The action scenes drag and drag, with 2398798737002984 bullets aimlessly flying at the same time, and just about all of them miss. But that's OK, say the filmmakers, everyone's too busy ogling Brad and Angelina. Plus the fact that they publicized the movie with unfounded rumors of a "romance" between the two adds to the stupidity. And yes, Angelina was hot, but unfortunately I'm rating the movie, not her. She would have gotten a ten.

National Treasure- 7/10. As stupid and improbable as the plot was, it was still at least interesting. Full of cliches, yet I was thoroughly entertained the whole time. Even though everyone knows they'll find the treasure, it was still kind of cool to follow the turns in their path to it, in a childish kind of way.

Collateral- 9/10. Even though Tom Cruise is currently douching the world with his endless self-promotion, using anything from Spielberg to Katie Holmes to TRL to a fake religion that he insists on pushing in order to continually appear in front of your face every half hour unless you are Amish, I gotta applaud him in this movie. Probably his best performance to date. He actually proves to be a helluva good villain. It's a nice touch how he kind of respects Jamie Foxx's character. Sort of like Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive, but in a much less funny way. Also, for a Tom Cruise movie it wasn't afraid to be artistic and intelligent, and on top of that it has a great soundtrack that really fits the movie well. I thought it was pretty fucking cool when two coyotes crossed the street for no reason after those two guys got shot and "Shadow on the Sun" started playing. And I'm not even the biggest Audioslave fan, but it was still perfect.

This time, it was the "La Marseillaise" scene. Next time, it might be something different. I'm resolutely opposed to patriotism as a concept, but damn if that's not the most rousing anthem ever.

I felt the same way about this one as I did about In The Heat Of The Night; very well-made, good performances, excellent characterization, but the plot is fairly by-the-numbers for its genre. I actually think the Priest was a more interesting character than whatever Brando's name was in this film; he drank, chain-smoked, even punched out the hero at one point. Pretty good, all in all.

The Odd Couple

I <3 Jack Lemmon. I hate Walter Matthau. Nothing more to say.

The Bridge on The River Kwai

Doesn't hold a candle to Lawrence of Arabia, obviously. In fact, the entire first half started to feel like an exercise in tedium after a while. Still, there were some truly great moments, and it was nice to see where Capt. Willard's mudbath scene from Apocalypse Now had its origin.

I thought this might be good, but it was better than I thought. As long as you keep in mind that it's a comedy all along, it's really enjoyable. Pierce Brosnan's character is hilarious. The whole time, I was really really hoping that there wouldn't be a specific super-lame ending that there could have been, but the movie really handled every step just about the best it could have. But then, the plot really wasn't anything too original. Still, give Brosnan a lot of credit for his performance. It pretty much made this movie.

Sequel to Scenes From A Marriage and allegedly Bergman's last film. Beautiful and really, really engrossing. Hopefully he reconsiders retirement.

The Trouble With Harry - 8/8
Hitchcock at his most hardcore, showing the interactions of folks in a small town and how they're inconvenienced with a corpse. Criminally underrated.
A nigga like Hitch is on the gangsta tip.

The Corpse Bride - 6/8
Entertaining. Beautifully made. I doubt I'll remember it in a week.

Heat

The botched bank robbery in the middle was badass; the rest was decent. I'm not sure why I was expecting this to be great.

Dial 'M' For Murder

Damn, Grace Kelly was a smokin' fine set of tits back in the day. In the hands of a lesser director, this material might have rendered me comatose; since it's Hitchcock we're talking about here, it slays. If you ain't down with the Hitch, go gobble a dick.

The Apartment

Hey all you people that bitch about how much you hate Christmas, here's the movie for you! Billy Wilder's films are slowly becoming my cinematic crack cocaine. I need those hits! Gimme them hits! I totally want to go gay for Jack Lemmon.

The Perfect Man 3/10

I had no right to sit down with my sister and watch that movie. 2 of the points was because my sister really liked it. The last point was because of Mr Roboto

The Big Heat - 7/8
Bad-ass noir from the 50s. Glenn Ford was really creepy for a hero. Lee Marvin was actually young at one point. No, really!

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) - 6/8
Entertaining crap with good action scenes. It could've been terrific if anyone in Hollywood still knew how to write good dialogue. Note to screenwriters: Watch The Ref. THAT is how married couples should bicker, none of this, "You trying to kill me is almost as bad as how you never put the toilet seat down lol!", shit.

The beach - 8/10

Ok, I know it's an old movie, but it still rules. I seen it a couple of years ago, and I knew I liked it, but couldnt remember any of it. So I sat down with a mate of mine and whatched it, and just loved it, simple as that. DiCaprio may be a pretty boy, be he's actually a good actor too, so i'll give him credit for that...

Caligula 5/10
Very good actors, but the movie is just sex. 155 minutes of orgy after orgy. It gets really boring and annoying after awhile. But what do you want from Tinto Brasso?
