I’m really into anything British from about 1500-present day, with focus on Cromwell/ Civil War, plus Napoleonic era and 19th century political history, so I guess I’m kind of all over the board on this one. Although I’m getting a lot more interested in 20th century Europe, probably because I read too much Niall Ferguson.
Rock Bottom has been growing on me like crazy too, the same with Takes Me Nowhere. I was in a car for about 5 hours worth of total travel time today going to see my cousin graduation from university, which fortunately gave me plenty of time to listen to RAFRAG, and yeah, I’m like you, there isn’t a single song that I can even think about skipping, it also gave me time to really appreciate tracks like Rock Bottom and Fix You, since when I first started to listen to RAFRAG I was too distracted by the sheer awesomeness of Half-Truism/Kid, ect. I’m still in awe over how good this album is. And yeah, haha the age question was a little strange, but whatever. Oh, I think you mentioned (I could be wrong) that you were a history student, you have a specific area of interest?
Man, don’t even get me started on the “tru punx”, they’re just stuck in 1994. I’m having a hard time picking one actually, the vocals on Half-Truism really seem to blow my mind every time I hear the song, but I’m probably going to have to go with Kid, there is just something about the “pre chorus” or whatever that gets my heart beating faster. Although in about a week, I can see A Lot Like Me being my favourite. How about you?
