  1. Sorry, but I somehow kind of doubt the whole thing. Or maybe it's because it's too crazy for it to seem real. I am however really sorry if it is true. It happened only a year ago or something?

    Well, both actually

The intro is slow. But that's all that is slow about the song. Later it's more like Million Miles Away fast. Don't worry, this won't ruin the surprise, as this description doesn't give much details. It's not a repetitive song. There are parts that repeat throughout the song, but it's not verse-chorus-verse structure. Chorus repeats only twice, despite the length of the song. Doesn't feel like 6.20 at all

Played the new song from start to finish. It might not yet be the final version, but i'm quite impressed. Seriously, this song has some of my best riffs ever.

Oh, and the length of it: 6 minutes 20 seconds. Hell yeah!
  4. How did she die?
  5. Are you serious now? She was your real wife and she is dead?
  6. What was my question?

Yeah, it's quite expensive, so i'll probably have to get another part-time job, at least temporarily (but that'll be in the fall, i saved quite a nice ammount of money thanks to my previous jobs, but i could still use some more). But hey, i put myself into this mess, so i'll be the one that'll pull me out of it too

Trust me, you have no idea how epic this song is gonna be. But not just epic, it's gonna have a lot of energy, and it's full of badass riffs . If you think Self-Destruction was epic you might be really surprised when you hear this one. It's an epic song, but rather than on epicness i focused on the agressiveness and energy, and there's plenty of both. Epicness came along naturally, with small tweaks here and there. This'll be our biggest song yet.

Just found out that my chances of getting accepted to a new college are indeed very good (they'll take 15 exceptional students - those who are paying for their own scholarship - and only 5 have applied so far, me included). It made my day a bit happier (not that i was in a bad mood)

Anyway, i'm still intensively working on the "epic" song so it'll be ready for recording (we'll probably be recording in august). Our second guitarist told me that every time he turns on his computer he listens to the recorded guitar harmonies i sent him, and just keeps it on repeat. He can't get enough of that part

    Thanks, dude!

Shit dude. Shit. I've just tried something i've never tried before, i thought it might fit into the new, "epic" song i was telling you about. Being a fan of Iron Maiden i was always fascinated by their dual (or, for the past decade or so, triple) lead guitar harmonies. They're trully masters in that aspect. So i wanted to try it out myself, i've came up with a basic guitar part, recorded it and then recorded the second guitar part (played a few frets higher and also a bit changed). And God does it sound fantastic...

About randman21
Everybody to the limit.Truck driver. Musician. Punk Rock enthusiast. Activist. Peerless lover. Fearless fighter. Haver of Y Chromosomes. ------Randy was born into humble beginnings on the planet of Mars. His father and ancestors before him worked in the mines of the nearby moon, Phobos. Randman knew this was not the destiny that stood before him. When he turned 9 years old, the Martian equivalent to 18 Earth years, he decided to leave his home planet and venture to a planet where he could express his artistic imagination: Earth.Upon arrival, however, his talent was met with little attention. After several attempts and eventual failure, he was on his last stretch of hope. If he didn't make a name for himself, it was off back to Mars and the mines. After an epic show at a local club, a small, unknown band took notice of his talent and asked him to sing for their band. They were The SRIs, featuring drummer Josh Freese, Guitarist Jesus Christ and Bassist Chuck Norris. After 3 short practices, they began recording their debut album. The album, This Album Is So Awesome, You Have No Fucking Idea was released to unsatisfactory results, only selling 4 million units in the United States. After such a failure, they buckled down for their next album. This album was Out Next Album. It was so incredible, it launched the band to superstardom. It's success could only be matched by the next five albums, Hey, Are You Still Listening, What's That Smell?, Earth Just Shit It's Pants, Try Not to Jizz Yourself, and Rise and Rise, Kiss Our Ass. With quintuple diamond certifications for all seven of their albums, The SRIs can be hailed as the greatest band ever to have been conceived.--Adapted from a biography by Brian Donald Ponce, noted historian
