I think Dan should have sung on it. He has a completely different singing style from Jack but puts a lot of emotion into it.

I love Jaked on Green Beers. It's very My Friend Peter-esque. They should write some stuff like that.

I LOVE alkaline trio!!! I own hard copies of good mourning, crimson, goddamnit, and maybe I'll catch fire. I have from here to infirmary, the alkaline trio, the split with hot water music, dan adriano's split, and matt skiba's split, plus b-sides and covers, and live performances on my computer. They're one of my favorite bands.

    Favorite songs:

The Alkaline Trio: This is getting over you, I lied my face off, southern rock

Crimson: time to waste, burn, sadie

From Here to Infirmary: Private Eye, stupid kid, hell yes

Maybe I'll Catch Fire: you've got so far to go, fuck you aurora, maybe I'll catch fire, radio

Good Mourning: This could be love, fatally yours, every thug needs a lady, blue in the face, blue carolina

Goddamn it: san francisco, message from kathlene, trouble breathing

the metro... ahha... berlin is great- take my breath away

So the new album is good stuff. I'm digging it more than Crimson. I particularly am liking "Love Love Kiss Kiss", "Over and Out", and "Live Young Die Fast". I think this could be quite a good album... but I don't think it'll beat out Good Mourning or Goddamnit.

My feelings exactly. The only downside is that it's a bit top-heavy; but holy-fuck can Skiba and company write catchy music or what? I think that like RAFRAG, i'll start to appreciate the later tracks once I give them more of a listen, but right now i'm hitting the repeat button a lot for In Vein and I Found Away.

    I agree. Mucho awesome-o album.

New album is pretty good. I'm not at the stage yet where i can judge if its better than their others though.

Calling All Skeletons and In Vein are emerging as favourites.

I obtained a copy of the new album today; I'll give it a listen in a minute.

EDIT: I got to half-way through "Over & Out" and have decided to finish it off later on. So far, I'm slightly overwhelmed by the sheer meh-ness and over-production of it all.

The only songs that I think are kinda meh are "Over and Out" and "Live Young, Die Fast." But even "Over and Out" is pretty damn catchy in parts. The rest of the album is great. Dan's songs are my favorites and my favorite Matt song on this album is "I Found Away".

It's funny, cause I generally like Dan's songs more than Matt's, but I vastly prefer Matt's voice to Dan's. I think Dan's a better song writer, but I don't dig the tone of his voice. Matt's voice is rawer and more unique, I think. It's a great balance, cause it makes every song generally enjoyable for me.
