    Ok listen, there is no 100% correct sub-genre that can fit the offspring's music. Why? Because EVERYONE has different sub-genres that they think offspring fall under. People are going to disagree with you so you might as well just take your little bullshit list of "sub-genres" and stick it up your honey buns.

    Offspring = rock
    rock = good
    honey buns = delicious

    No no no no no.

    Rock usually is good, but just because it is rock doesn't mean it is good! I mean, for fuck's sake, some of the worst artists ever are rock. (Breaking Benjamin, Limp Bizkit, etc.)

    And just because it's pop doesn't mean it's bad.

    The Offspring is a pop-punk band, or a punk-pop band, whatever you want to call them. If the songs I mentioned earlier were put on Splinter or Americana, all of you would be whining that they're "going pop". Fickle fucks some of you are.

    The Offspring is good no matter what genre you try to fit them into, but all I'm saying is that there is nothing wrong with them being a pop-punk band because they're so fuckin good no matter what. They have that super pop catchy chorus in Kick Him When He's Down and the the biggest selling pop-rock-punk album of 1994 and everyone wants to live in denial. It's just silly.
