Great, here goes.
Song two of a three-song arc with vocals I'm planning. The first one was (obviously) The Way It Is.
This one I like more - couldn't tell you why. It's called The Way It Used To Be.
I came up with it while toying around the idea of doing a postapocalyptic style song, and although in the end I didn't go with that there are some definite elements from that I idea I decided to keep. I swapped out the church organ I was going to use for a simple piano in the last verse/chorus and I think it sounds great, and then I pared down the length a lot.
I enjoyed making it, but I've spent most of the day finishing it up so I'm not even sure if it sounds any good or not at this point.
