My roommate (not the one I share a room with) weighs around 300 lbs /136 kg. This in itself didn't really bother me at all. Nearly every time I go downstairs to the kitchen, he is there. If he's in his room, and I go down to make food and am down there for more than 10 minutes, he shows up. He then proceeds to spend a great deal of time making a ton of food. I think he cooks around 5 times a day, and every time, he makes enough food for 3 or 4 people. He is almost always in the kitchen, and I hate having to work around him... but it really just absolutely disgusts me, because he sometimes makes comments about the food I eat... that it's "typical American" (when I make sandwiches or pasta), or that I shouldn't eat it. It's like he looks down on what other people eat, because he makes such elaborate food. He throws out so much, too. I brought home an onion dish, and two days later, he said it was inedible and told me to throw it out. Also, he forbid one of our roommates, who is from Indonesia, to cook in the morning. This roommate almost always eats Rice, and the fat guy doesn't like the smell in the morning (his room, like mine is upstairs. You can't smell it up here.) How dare he tell other people what to cook and when to cook it?
Really, I just get absolutely disgusted when I see him down there 5 times a day... all he ever does is cook, eat, watch tv, and go on skype. Most of the time he's eating and watching tv.
Am I being judgmental? Unfair?
