"but I too have to learn French"

    nono.
First of, try and learn English.
"but I have to learn French, too!" would be more like it.

Have ordered The Postman Always Rings Twice, Double Indemnity and The Big Sleep.
I'll read them in that order.

Reading "the girl who played with fire" by stieg Larson right now. About halfway through it. I'm like it. Larson has kind of a dry way of writing, almost too detailed but not detailed at the same time. But it's a quick read, and it's keeping me on my toes trying to figure out whats going on in it.

The last book I read was The Running Man by Stephen King (or Richard Bachman if you will). It was...okay. A but disappointing for King.

I'm currently reading A Hand Reached Down to Guide Me by David Gates, a collection of short stories which all appear to be about middle aged pretentious wankers having affairs. I'm contemplating giving up on it.

I'm currently reading Olaf Stapledon's Sirius, about a dog who is given human intelligence. I just can't stop laughing every time he talks about the scent of bitches.

Also just finished Girls will be Girls by Emer O'Toole - I once posted a video of her here; she was on a talk show because she had stopped shaving. Anyway, it was a very interesting, and quite funny, discussion on gender roles. A+
