alright, thanks to everyone who replied and tried to help. most of it was insightful. but i think i figured how i can get out of this....from now on, when he calls i'm just going to tell him i'm currently busy doing something else, until he starts to think "hey,this guy is always so busy...maybe i should let him call me instead".the trick is, i'll make sure i still call him a couple times a week, but i'll almost always tell him i'm currently busy when he calls me. eventually, he'll pick up on the fact that we never end up hanging out when he calls me. it's like behavioral psychology or something. right? whatever, as long as it works.
