Default Ever begged for a grade before?

I'm going to e-mail my professor and I need help sounding as professional as possible/kissing ass. I got a 65.3 in my college math course, and I really needed a 70.

-The teacher claimed that he helps out people who are on the line if they show up to every class, which I did (class participation grade)
-I got a got a C on the comprehensive final
-I'm transferring to a four year next fall as a history major

    Any advice?

Here is some advice: Study more and then you wouldn't be in this mess.

I studied a hell of a lot. That's the last thing I want to see. Math is really hard for a lot of people because each problem involves at least like 10 specific rules, an even then you can mess up with number calculations.

uhhh... probably the best thing you can do is email him saying how concerned you are, and that you were wondering whether he would allow you to do an extra credit/research project to help you with your grade. =/

When I'm good, I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better.

Tell me if there's anything goofy or awkward about this...and there probably is because I'm an idiot. Or if there's anything else I should say to score some points, let me know.

    Dear Professor Pawela,

I calculated the average of my three highest test grades, and it came out to a 65.3. I really need a C in this class although I realize that I’m 4.7 points away from a 70. I know you said that class participation/attendance is factored into the grade, and I was wondering if that would be enough to get my grade up to a 70. I earned a 72 on the comprehensive final, and I’m transferring to Rowan University next fall, and it would be a great help if you could consider giving me a 70.

    Sincerely,
    Bighead Johnson

Get rid of the end of it "consider giving me....". That sounds like you want them to fudge things.

Like Sunny said, tell them you are concerned and ask if there is anything you can do to boost up your grade to the 70.

btw, Rowan University? Are you from Jersey...?

i guess it's all about the dream

There is nothing wrong with trying.

Let someone else calculate your average. Maybe this email isn't necessary.
