Hah, yeah, I know Free, I was just fuckin' witcha~

    And yeah, it is awesome~

In any case....Steve called me late Tuesday night, talking about how Allen was moving to Mississippi and leaving the band and it was gonna fuck up the movie they're filming (separate thing, not affiliated with GANM as far as I know), and going on about how it sucks and all. I was like, "That's kinda sudden." And he agreed. So I popped Allen a message that morning before I went to work, asking him what was up and saying it sucked that he wasn't gonna be in GANM anymore. To which he promptly responded that he would still be able to do all the GANM stuff, and that we're probably even going to have another practice this weekend.

    0.0

So I'm just now sending Steve a "WTF?!" message, for getting me all worked up like that. I was running around telling everyone I know about how GANM just took a huge hit, and now I look kinda like a dick because it turns out it was just Steve overreacting. I'm thinking, as an act of Friend Revenge, that I'll start a meme about how he thought Allen was trying to steal me away, so he wanted to get rid of him because he caught The Ghey for Allen

Alright, parts 8 and 9 of my Big Song project is/are complete:

    Just Us (Alone) {3:56} = http://www.sendspace.com/file/n3i5kq

All voice samples in this song are taken from Persona 4 for PS2. I'm not going to use them for the final version (because I used too many for it to be really legal 0.0), but I couldn't resist using them for the demo. It just sounds so bad-ass to me

    Lyrics:

[spoken: "Come on, how many people out there actually think about what's real, or what's right and wrong? Next to none, I bet. It's useless to think about those things in the first place. You don't get anything out of facing reality, and there's no way to change it, either. I mean, what could be more boring than brooding over things you can't change? It's better to just ignore them, and believe only what you want to believe in. Doesn't that sound a lot easier? It would be awesome if everyone's life could be that easy...."]

"Wading through the depths of the sea of my unconscious mind
I've come across a treasure that I thought I'd left behind
It's something I believe is real but I know deep down is not
And yet, I'm not the only one who can see it for what it is

And I know it's not for real
But I know, yeah, I know --- there's something to see here

[spoken: "I did those things because I could, and it got interesting, so I watched."]

I've tried time and again to understand this tendency
It's an imaginative specter and it lingers pleasantly
I think of it as something that exists outside of me
But when it's down to rhyme and reason, I believe that it's just me

I go wherever it tells me
And I know, yeah, I know --- it's what compels me

So maybe there's no justice, but can I still believe there's truth?
I can't personify these sentiments to an objective source
But does that mean that I can't value them? Of course not!

They try to tell me things I know that I can't believe
They think I'm saving all these tricks up my fucking sleeve
They try to tell me that there's nothing I can say
If someone does it, then I can't just look away
If you were standing there, I know you'd do it, too
It doesn't matter if it's what God told you to do
Is that the reason you believe your life is true?
That's fine, I guess, but there's another reason for what I do

'Cause in my mind, there's common good
People doing what they think they should
In an androgynous cacophony of people playing out their lives

[spoken: "Both sides had the best of intentions, so the game of cat and mouse would never end....ah, it was awesome!"]

    No matter what we say
    It'll always be that way
    Just living out our lives
    Just another way to die..."

[spoken: "Fine....live however you want. If you think....you have the power to change the future....then go right ahead."

"Everyone has the power to do that."]

So? Eh? Whatcha think? This is my first time using voice samples, so I'm curious as to how it will be received.

Sorry, I downloaded the song a few days ago but forgot to write my thoughts about it here. So, I like the idea of samples in the beginning and in the end. The song itself sounds epic. I really like the guitar riffs and the vocals.
In brief: I FUCKING LOVE IT!

Just Us. Lyrics are great, I LOVE the "Hypodermic" guitar on verses which is very Offspring-like (I adore such tempo's that aren't simple monotonous palm muting), around 3:20 the melodic filling makes it sound like an AFI song. Great job!

Sorry I took so long to get back to you guys....I've been working 40+ hour weeks at work (a nice change of pace, actually....and I have the paycheck to show for it~). A couple of things:

*(1)* This is part 10/song 8 of my "epic song/concept album" side project; we're almost halfway there, folks! It's called "What If (Luck of the Draw)," and it's my first attempt at trying odd timings (like sudden/abrupt time changes). Criticism is welcomed

What If (Luck of the Draw) {3:34} = http://www.sendspace.com/file/nujd35

*(2)* This is our new "album" that we're releasing soon as Static Martyr, called "Where We Were Heading" (the zip file has all of the basic mixdowns, before any hard editing/smoothing). If you have the time, feel free to have a listen and tell us what you think!

Where We Were Heading = http://www.sendspace.com/file/70baj3

Here's the track listing (lyrics are in the zip file):

    1. Intro - On The Surface of Light {2:20} NEW!
    2. This Town {2:28} NEW!
    3. Rehab Is For Dopesick Lovers {2:56} NEW!
    4. Johnny White, Envelope Guru {2:14}
    5. Heather {2:23}
    6. My Own Private Gardener {0:45} NEW!
    *7. 52 Seconds of Rape {0:52} NEW!
    8. Sadness, Ended {2:19}
    9. Gotta Do Whatcha Gotta Do {0:35}
    10. Pain of Knowing {2:05} NEW!
    11. Stepping Stone {3:01} NEW!
    12. Campus Crusaders for Crust {1:11}
    13. The Beat Rolls On {2:29} NEW!
**14. Sadness Bleeding on the Doorstep To My Heart (Part 11) {3:20} NEW! = http://www.sendspace.com/file/jmvqel

There are two more songs (called "Mr. Christ, I Miss Her" and "Such A Pity") that we'll be adding soon for the "official" release. They're not done yet, so the album isn't actually done, but I figured it's been awhile since we've contributed here at all, and it'll probably be another week or two before the whole thing gets put together. So keeping in tradition with trying to put out at least 1 song a week (or at least 4 per month~), here's what we've got!

*=I assure you that yes, it is a horribly convenient coincidence that our song was exactly 52 seconds with all things said, just like the Bad Religion song "52 Seconds." No, this was not intentional, believe it or not 0.0

**=This is gonna be the "hidden track" when we "officially" bring it out; also, there was apparently an error of some kind, and the complete version of this song did not upload with the zip file, just a 30+ second clip. The link for the full version is above, immediately after the song title on the track listing.

Also, lyrics for Luck o'the Draw:

"Given that you believe in a unifying degree
It stands to reason it applies to me
But what does it mean when you extend validity
To the things you want to believe are really there

It doesn't matter if it makes the world a better place
This stuff about objectivity just reeks of desperation
That's not the reason I believe the way I do
It's what reality holds me to

What if the world revolved around all that you believe is wrong?
    Ritualism, and reality's swan song
You say you can tell the difference between this chance existence
But I think it's just another resistance against the luck of the draw

It's your philosophy that we should all agree
Unite in a battle against the powers that you believe you see
You're scared to admit that what you feel just might be incomplete
Your enemy lies within and you can't admit that you can't defeat it

But what if we don't believe the righteousness you preach?
Rife with apologetics, your mind is like a leech
Take a stand for one, but death to all the others
You say your enemy is your brother man, but....

Sometimes I wonder if you're right
But I know that's only 'cause I want out of this fight
I lift my face and face up to myself
'Cause the truth can't come from no one else
If I believe that, I can't sell myself
I'd rather not know at all than adopt your pretend education

What if the world revolved around you and your personal truth?
Then why would all of us be here searching for it, too?
You say you know what's right, you know that you'll win tonight
I accept your challenge because I believe in the luck of the draw

The luck of the draw's the only way to resolve
If you don't think you can win, then why don't you just give in
    And stop fucking complaining?"

So as you can see, even though we haven't been posting here much, we've still been *quite* busy....we just wanted to wait to post anything here until we had the whole thing put together for the most part. But now it's here, so enjoy (or don't)!

I am using Home service. I got problem in accessing the internet a while ago. To solve the problem, Home technical support changed my network settings from dynamic IP to static IP. What are the differences between these two? Which one is better?
