Yeah, the word "ambitious" does come to mind; but i'm still optimistic, since i've yet to be really disappointed by this band.

I haven't been following this much but from what I've heard of the proojected album I'm not enthusiastic. Warning was sub-par but ok, I thought American Idiot was crap. A rock opera? Jesus christ. The songs are uninspired and many seem to be lesser retreads of better material. The new look is awful, I listen to Insomniac, or 1, 039/Smoothed and wonder "What Happened?" Everything changes, true, but not always for the better. Green Day appear to be succumbing to the third law of thermodynamics. I hope for the best, but expect the new album to be crap.
Has anyone checked out their homepage in the last little while? I kind of like the style, i wonder if it's going to be similar to the album art on the upcoming album?

In an actual update, Kerrange magazine is claiming that Billie Joe described the new record as being "power pop". http://www.greendayauthority.com/art...rrang/0109.jpg
Safe to say, that makes me pretty happy, i'm really starting to expect an album similar to Warning.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new album.
On another note, I've noticed a pattern in which Green Day release their albums, dating back to Dookie.
Dookie - 1994
Insomniac - 1995, 1 year difference
Nimrod - 1997, 2 years
Warning - 2000, 3 years
American Idiot - 2004, 4 years
(new album) - 2009, 5 years
Here's hoping they don't take until 2015 to release another one.
Hi there,
I am looking for any help locating a Green Day bootleg from Tacoma Wa. on Sept. 26th 2005. I am hoping to give this as a gift to someone who attended that show. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would so much appreciate it! Thanks- Rachel
