Picked up N+ for the DS yesterday. It's quite challenging, but if you just keep at it actually fairly easy to get through. Anyone who's played the Flash version of N knows what I mean. And if you haven't then you should.

I also picked up Red Faction: Guerrilla the other day. It's fun, but sometimes it seems you die when you shouldn't when other times you're practically invincible. It does a good job of situating everything, but I would have liked to see the game world a little fuller, with more destructible things in it.

Call of Juarez has such a great western atmosphere. The music, the voice acting, and the environment is all so perfect, although a bit cheesy (on purpose). So far my favorite part is riding on horseback shooting Indians with a bow and arrow in slow motion. It's okay though, those were evil Indians who killed a white lady. My only gripe is the boring stealth elements with Billy. Hiding in bushes and behinds rocks isn't exactly fun, unless they give you some stealthy killing moves, which they don't.

I also just start playing the Wolverine Origins video game. I haven't played much yet (less than an hour), but it's pretty damn good. The hacking and slashing is enjoyable enough that I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it. Lots of gory goodness too. Why they didn't include wolverine decapitating a helicopter pilot midair with the helicopter blades in the movie is beyond me. Plus the regeneration looks awesome.

That game is amazing. And I like the gameplay, but it really is the humor that makes the game great.

Traded in like 10 games and picked this up today. It's as good as people have said it is and better. I've been playing for about 5 hours and only just looked up.

The half point comes off for Cole's voice and because I'm not sure if the gameplay will ever get repetitive. I doubt it.

I find most of my enthusiasm isn't in the game's presentation, though I like the way it looks, or even in the characters, because they're fairly two dimensional - it's in the way inFamous makes you feel like a superhero in every single way. Sitting still on top of a building, only to realize that there are baddies on the ground floor shooting people in the street... two seconds later you're hurtling downwards and striking the ground with a huge impact, taking out two guys with a Thunder Drop. Turning left, you notice one of them has taken cover behind a car and is taking pot shots at you - instead of running around the car, you just blow the car up and pop a grenade over it just in case the guy survived the impact. Flipping back around you find yourself confronted by two Conduits and you're taking shots to the face from a roof across the street. Thinking quickly, you fire off a shockwave to knock the Conduits to their feet and run to the nearest source of electricity to recharge before precision shooting the guy in the roof in the face and blasting the Conduits out of existence.

It just gets you way into everything it's trying to do, and does it incredibly well - part of the reason I loved Mass Effect and Fallout 3 so much is because I feel like they are some of the few games which manage to get you to that level of commitment. inFamous does exactly the same thing.
I finished inFamous today, and I think tomorrow I'll start over as an evil character. It's honestly that good, and just so much fucking fun to play. The gameplay mechanics always feel responsive, sharp, and fresh to play. Sometimes it's hard to get away if you're getting pounded from multiple sides or it's a little difficult to nail some sniper or bazooka-shooting asshole from a block over, but it still fits in with the game world.

More varied boss battles and a longer story would have been good, though. I'll give it props for ending open-ended enough that I'm already looking forward to inFamous 2.

Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door

One of the wittiest nintendo made games ever. I literally caught myself laughing at some of the dialogue.
