If this is anywhere near as good as Dissent (easily my #1 BR album), then it will be #1 or #2 on my list. I already like what I've heard (only heard Vanity, but it's badass). Will be picking this one up.

"I'm sorry
For all the things that I never did
For all the places I never was
For all the people I never stopped
But there was nothing I could do..."
Dissent's really good and all (as all Bad Religion's stuff has been, like, ever - yep, Atlantic years defender), but it's probably the weaker of their four since Process. I love the interesting softer almost country-vibe it has like Recipe For Hate, they haven't done that in a long time, but a lot of it was kind of middle-of-the-road, too.
I'm loving just about all of the new stuff so far, aside from "Fuck You" which, while Bad Religion to a tee, it gets old after about the third or fourth listen and is pretty bland for them.
I'm a little worried the album might turn out a little too "Raaah, see, we can still rock out hardcore-stylez when we're old, uh, yo", and not have that same heavier-than-usual-but-still-pretty-mature-and-evolving vibe that New Maps did. Stuff like "Dept. Of False Hope" (which is friggin' great) are alleviating that a lot, though. But still, psyched as always for new BR, along with Social D and The Offspring they're about the only punk rock really worth a damn.
Wow, thanks! That's really nice of Epitaph and BR. I'm going to listen to it right now.![]()
True North is a great albumI like it better then The Dissent Of Man
I have only listened through it once and still do not have a set opinion on the record. Both True North and Fuck You have both grown on my. But the record is not bad.
Holy fuck this album is great! It offers a great contrast to Dissent of Man.
Makes me wanna pick up my guitar and write a fuckin' awesome punk album.
