I think it's a great idea, if it happens. I totally support it.

I am for that. I think that would be great.
"The year before they were wearing shaggy, goth-looking clothes – now they’re shooting people and getting blown up in Iraq". tr00 punx! Totalvägra!!!
That'd be definitely cool. Even though I am not American and no one I know is in Iraq, I think it'd be really cool for these soldiers who have spent so many years away from their homes, it'd be nice for them to have a little bit of fun. Is there a better way to have fun other than having The Offspring play for you?
I don't think they should go. They've never supported the war, they're against it. And even though Noodles said that the troops didn't decide to start the war but Bush did, they're still fighting the war.
Those people are fighting for something, dying for something, and then some band comes along to play for them even though that band's against what they're fighting for.
It'd be a lot better to have a band play who actually support the war.
Blergh, that ^ doesn't sound as clear as it did in my head.
* !
They may be against the war, but I don't think they harbour any ill will towards the soldiers themselves. I think it would be a nice way to show them that the people back home are thinking of themThink of it as a musical care package, starring one of the best bands ever!
The Vandals played in Iraq. I watched a video and it seemed like it went over very well. Although I think I've read that it's pretty well known that the Vandals are on the conservative side. The Offspring are more popular, so it would probably be even more of a success. Hopefully not many soldiers interpret the lyrics to Hammerhead like that solider who made a thread here. I wonder if Noodles would rock his "Not My President" shirt if in Iraq if they had this idea earlier?
When they said "sit down", I stood up.
Also, it doesn't have to be Iraq. It could be any country where the war is being fought.
