too violent? they had to tone down rorschach so much. otherwise, as far as film adaptations went, i had a boner the whole time. I went to the midnight opening of the movie, sat next to a dude in a pretty sweet dr. manhattan costume.

Anyone that has any interest in seeing this movie and hasn't done so yet has no right to complain about any spoilers within. So here's some spoilers:

It was good. I have a few little beefs with it here and there, but generally it was pretty entertaining. And the fact that they managed to change the ending to something less silly was nice.

The action was too actiony. Especially the jailbreak scene (but it was the case nearly every time there was any fighting, it came off as too much for just normal people to be capable of). There's no reason Silk Spectre and Nite Owl should've been able to kick as much ass as they did as easily as they did if they've been inactive for so long.
The changed ending. Not the 'how' part, I actually preferred the new version of that, just everything else. Like how Laurie says the "nothing ever ends line" to Dan, when it's much more effective and meaningful for Jon to say it to Adrian.
Adrian was played more as a straight movie villain than he came off as in the comics.
Didn't realize this until it was pointed out, but them not showing the horrible effects of Adrian's plan in detail like they did in the comics. In the books they took time to pan through and show you all the dead bodies, the buildings, everything so you see just how bad what he did actually was, which they didn't do for the movie (despite taking nearly every other opportunity to push violence even further than it went in the comics).

The 'how' part of the ending. I always prefered Adrian's motive more than his execution of the plan. Considering the main point of the Watchmen comics was to take these characters and put them in the real world, using psychics and giant squids as a major plot device always felt silly to me and the way they changed it for the movie made it seem much less so.

I saw it on last friday.

My friends encouraged me to come with them,
but I was censorious about it.

I generally don't like to watch such movie about superheroes
and kinda like this, but Watchmen nicely surprised me.

The movie is violent, that's true, but there is also a lot of funny moments
and sometimes I couldn't stand to be without laughting.
I think it could be also a kinda good comedy movie

    I recommend it
