I actually think Jojan is pretty funny in his own right. He doesn't self-depreciate; rather he extrapolates the aspects of himself that could be taken as negative and pushes them to a whole new level in a very ironic, satirical and humorous sense.
It would be pretty funny if it he wouldn't overdo it ways too much, reaching whole new levels of being repetitive, unoriginal, predictable and thus boring. Also, his *cough* satire is usually directed against others' flaws, not his own (what happens extremely rare, if happens at all).
