Default Never Gonna Find Me/Lightning Rod

Does anyone here, other than me, consider these two songs almost as one, considering the fact that they so cleverly blend into each other with the chopping-ish sound? Or am I just a little bit crazy?

A lot of artists do that... the blending in of two songs. I count them as two songs.

I too count them as two different songs, but I think they blend together really well.

I never got original CD so - I was never been able to hear that blend
I'd buy it these days but now - my stereo can't read cd's so kinda there's no point

What about Have You Ever and Starin' At The Sun? They blend with the cymbals.

It's two songs... Possably written months apart, knowing The Offspring.

if lightning rod was a bit shorter than you may argue it could be considered one song in the same way they end have you ever!
