2012 has been a pretty good year for me: that Menzinger's album alone has become one of my favorite releases of the past few years.

A couple albums I picked up recently that i've really liked:

This album is rediculous amounts of fun. Four dudes singing about holding people at knife point and breaking into girl's houses to serrenade them; what's not to love? I think we all just need to Give a lonely masked man a chance! is my favorite line from any song this year.

Solid album, though probably won't be in my top 10. The band embracing mid-tempo stuff is absolutely the right direction that they needed to be heading in.

So, I just got the new Propagandhi album today, Failed States. I really liked Supporting Caste, so I had a lot of hope for this album. First listen though, I really enjoyed it.

oh, and I also downloaded the new album by Metric. Need to give that a listen, which I might do right now. I also downloaded a bunch of Hot Water Music, including their new album Exister. Gonna listen to that soon too. I'm also anxiously looking forward to the new Muse album. Really liked Madness and Survival.

So after seeing that Dead Sara was touring with the Offspring, I decided to check them out. Downloaded their debut album (came out this year) and damn, it is awesome.

New NOFX album is great, but it ranks 3rd to me so far this year behind the new albums from Morning Glory and Dan Vapid and the Cheats
