I listened to the new Killers' album "Battle born". It is not so ...rock as their previous ones but I like the melodies. There are 4 songs(out of 12) that I liked upon first listen. In general I am disappointed a little bit.

    Matt & Kim - Lightning
The duo is back! This is one of my favourite bands and they have made yet a great album. It sounds like classic Matt and Kim, but the music is still fresh and new. One of their songs, Now, sounds like they tried to make a dubstep song without the wub wub. The music is lighthearted and it puts me in a great mood.

    Woah, that's quite a list
I'm still blown away by 'All or Nothing' but to be honest I haven't listened to quite as many albums as you obviously have so ... 'The General Strike' is a solid album too as are some albums by German bands/singers.

Listening to Muse's "The 2nd Law". Verdict: It has it's ups and downs. I like it a lot more than I liked their last album. Some of the songs are pretty awesome, like Supremacy and Liquid State (which is sung by Chris rather than Matt, and it's awesome). Panic Station has an 80's pop rock feel to it in a good way. I like Madness, Animals and Survival, but I'm not blown away by them. The album really only has two Electronica tracks on it and I don't really care for either of them. To sum it up, there are some things to like on this album, but nothing will top Black Holes & Revelations.

    Come on and raise up.

Songs of the Year thus far (in no order and incomplete):

Make Do and Mend - Disassemble
    Yeasayer - Fingers Never Bleed
    Sleigh Bells - Crush
Super Happy Fun Club - Way Back (The Conflict)
The Menzingers - Burn After Writing
    Grizzly Bear - gun-shy
Minus the Bear - Lonely Gun

Also, Fiona Apple's new album is amazing. Not too many albums are good enough to make me totally engaged with a genre that I'm not generally too into.
My previous signature was getting old. This is my new one.
