I was paying nearly $5 a gallon at one point in Summer of '08. I was paying $3.08 a couple weeks ago, not its back to $3.60.

As for the market crash, my understanding is that something like that could have been prevented by closing loopholes and with tighter government restrictions. Basically, exactly what the Republicans have vowed they would never do. Smaller govt. and all that, until it comes down to individual rights and shit.

Don't get me wrong, there are things I certainly do not like about Obama, but they're nothing compared to the things I do not like Romney.

Everything has been corrupted by the government's system. Whynot have a first female president, eh? That'd be so rarely great! Come to think of it - I'd like to be one someday, as soon as I grow up.

Playing Devil's Advocate a moment here, to be fair about the background and qualification stuff, Obama's recent attack on Romney being "new to foreign policy" is ridiculously fucking hypocritical. I like the guy, but he talks horse-shit too. Both Romney and Obama (pre-2008) don't come from that world. That's what Secretaries Of State and top advisors are there for.

Holy shit...seriously? All by itself in a vacuum, no. As an overall example of what he logistically capable of? It sets an example of what he can do on a very large scale and get positive results. Tell me oh enlightened one, what did Obama have as far as experience that swayed you towards him in 2008? I'll tell you what it was...a mob mentaility of hope and change bullshit talking points. He had done zero to show he had any capability to run anything on a mass scale. Yet, you elected him. Again...good call.
