Thread: I think it's so cool that the Offspring added a "Fans" album on facebook.

Awwww, I'm sorry. I have, like, a dozen drawings of them and a wire sculpture I made for a high school project of Dexter. I'm a nerd.
Why don't you write a new poem and send that. So far, no one has sent a poem that I know. If it's not too long and you save it in paint or a similar program, maybe they'll add it.
I said, "Hi, Greg. I'm the creepy girl." He chuckled, then wanted a handshake and I gave it. I wanted a hug and he gave it. One of his sons was there, too. Cute. Then Pete got him to autograph my sign for me because I was too polite to ask myself since he was on his way to eat. Pete also took this of photo of him holding it. - 8/2/2014.

If I submit a poem, it HAS to be the one I wrote. Childish handwriting, HORRIBLY juvenile turns of phrase...plus, I'm not sure I'm passionate enough about The Offspring anymore to write poetry about them. Here's a sample:

Your voices are like none ever heard before
And when I listen, I like more and more
Your wiqid lyrics flow like deep blue sea
A strangely happy feeling takes over me
I refuse to believe I ever spelled or used "wicked" that way, but alas, there is physical proof. *facepalm*

Maybe I'll get drunk and submit it one day. I don't know whether or not they have the label moderate their Facebook page, but if there is even a small chance that they'll see that poem, I might die and/or explode.

Just facebook message them with a description. I asked if that was the right place when I sent mine, and they said yes and that they added it, so that's all it takes.
I'm on the fence about submitting this. I made it in 10th grade and it was displayed at my high school's art gallery, but I'm not sure if it's clear it's Dexter. The only clue is I made the guitar look like his old Ibanez RG. I referenced a photo, so I tried to get his iconic guitar-playing pose right.
It's been in the garage and got misshapen. What do you think? :S

I have to admit, I'd have no idea that was Dexter if you didn't say so, and I don't know enough about guitars to know what is distinctively Ibanez-y about the one you sculpted. It is a fucking awesome sculpture regardless!

Haha, thanks. All I had to use to shape it were my hands and pliers, so it's was tough to shape them together. When you bend one end you are holding the other for leverage so it bent the other way. Very difficult. It turns out that the best photo of his classic guitar pose that I can find it one I took. This is the pose it was supposed to look like.

If it isn't clear it's him then I won't submit it, haha. XP
I hope people submit other drawings. There are only two, so far.

Wow, I thought I hit Submit Reply before I left for work...

All I said was I really like your sculpture, even though (in my humble opinion) it doesn't look at all like Dexter! I think you'd probably be better off sending them a picture you drew though.

My poem is a (short-ish) page long...maybe I'll take the plunge and immortalize my embarrassing pre-teen years forever :P

Well, the pictures I drew are all from the Smash era, so I think it would be, umm, I know Noodles gets a bit sad/nostalgic when he sees fans posting photos and stuff from back when they had Ron. Though, I plan on drawing a funny picture of Noodles pointing at a zebra, saying "You copied off me" in his blue and black striped shirt and awesome hair. It's like stupid humor, but I'll submit that when I finally get around to arting it up.

Sure, why not? Let me know if you send it.

My poem actually mentions Ron -- there's my excuse not to send it in, I guess :-/
