I heard it was, but it still sounds good. You think they would have auto-tuned Noodles' and Greg K's mics, too? Greg's almost always on key, so he wouldn't have needed it, anyway.
Honestly, if the Offspring need to be auto-tuned once in a while for a special recorded event, it's fine with me. It's better than all the pop-stars, who are auto-tuned with every performance.
I said, "Hi, Greg. I'm the creepy girl." He chuckled, then wanted a handshake and I gave it. I wanted a hug and he gave it. One of his sons was there, too. Cute. Then Pete got him to autograph my sign for me because I was too polite to ask myself since he was on his way to eat. Pete also took this of photo of him holding it. - 8/2/2014.

I think most of their songs translate well live. I like OC Guns better live than on album. I agree that while I love Gone Away live, I think you can feel the emotion on the album. Much better than live. IMO.

This is great! I love reading what you all to say about this topic. It's been rattling around in my head for years, so I'm excited to see what others think.

A lot of Ignition and the entirety of Smash sound better live to me, but then I hate the production on Smash. Live the instruments and vocals sound so much better.

Thumbs up They Kill It In Their Shows!

They sound as well in live versions as in album versions, but there are many songs like The Kids Arenīt Alright, Self Esteem or all Ignitionīs songs that sounds better live, more powerful (specially with Pete Parada at the drums), and i like it a lot.

The only time they actually sound bad is when the stage crew or whoever doesn't have the volumes set to proper levels. Sometimes Greg's mic is too low, sometimes Dexter's is, sometimes you can't really hear Noodles guitar and other times you can barely hear the bass. But, generally, if the volume levels are good, they sound good.
