More often than not, there are STILL fans hanging around.

Very rarerly they will either stay so long that everyone is gone, or they will leave so fast people haven't had a chance to get there (or they have to leave so fast there isn't time to tal to fans for 10-20 mins). But that's the exception.
Even in these cases, it hardly ever applies to all the band members.

I remember waiting outside at the Cologne show during the Greatest Hits tour for an hour or two. We either missed them then or it was getting too late, can't remember. I did get a working pass from a local crew member though, so it was worth it then, haha.

The large majority of the time, they sign autographs and take pictures, sometimes all the band members, sometimes not all the band members...

A handful of other people and I were unlucky because we waited by the bus after the Sept 22, 2012 Philly show and they never came out. But the severe thunderstorms had cut the opening act's set short and delayed the Offspring by an hour. We just huddled under the overpass for most of the storm. So I guess they couldn't stick around.

It happens... in my experience with enough patience, and going to a few shows, it's almost dead certain... they try to get to the fans so...

I sat at the entrance before the amsterdam show last year. There wasn't really a line yet, and there was enough time to spare. So I decided to buy some beer in a supermarket 10 minutes away with a girl I met there.
When we got back, the people who had stayed put told us we had just missed the band coming in through the frontdoor. They all got pictures of themself with the band.

Getting there early is also a good tactic, but that sometimes means super early, like early afternoon.. so I suggest staying after, also afterwards if they have time they are sort of prepared for that... earlier it's less likely for them to run into fans, so it may catch them off guard so have sharpies and things to sign

I'm just waiting for them to come around my way again. I'll bring another sign with me if I have to. I'm so short it's hard to see me and it's hard for me to see anything if I'm behind second row.

That's really awesome. Noodles seems like the type of person who can get along with anyone and would always take time to talk to fans and actually listen to what they have to say to him and takes what they say to heart.

Well, having a largest community on VK payed off 6 years after I created it, so I got the change to meet the guys, greet them, have a sign and a couple of photos.

The nice thing was after the gig, when I found out that guys are riding the same train from Moscow to St.-P. as I (and some more fans) am. We went to them, found Dexter and Noodles smoking and people did a little signing and shooting, while I talked to Noodles a bit. But then the angry russian security guard came and chased us out. Well, I understand perfectly that the band members were tired, so I wouldn't even try to bother them after they finished their cigarretes... but the guard was a dumb rude f@cker, so he didn't care.

In the morning we (and about 20 more fans, who came to the railway station after finding out about The Offspring on the train) had a chance to sign/shoot/converse a little more, so we did.

    One of the funny things:
Me, looking at Dexter surrounded by ladies: Hey, Noodles, it seems Dexter's got all the girls!
Noodles: Ahh, yeah, that happens all the time!
While I'm glade to have met them, I really would like to have another chance in a more relaxed atmosphere, because the most interesting thing for me is to communicate with people, who write the songs I love and respect.
